Just started tuning the car. Just a quick baseline pull at 11psi. Not much timing in the car yet, and just getting started on the afr.

Todays pull.

Still not much timing in the car, trying to get the boost profile dialed in a bit. I will start to add timing tonight.

I only have a 8psi spring in the wastegate right now, so over the weekend I will put in the 11psi one. I think the small spring is making the turbo a little lazy, and in 4th gear the wastegate is hating life. Boost profile is all over the map. So I will continue to tune on this spring and see how it goes.

I might hit the 1/8th mile tomorrow at about 20/25psi and see what I can clip off. I am not expecting amazing results just trying to establish a baseline so as the tune dials in I can see the improvement.

24psi, it hits 20psi at 4800rpm in 3rd gear, and creeps to 24psi by 8000rpm. Car is making pretty good power, it is 0* at 5k, and 6.5* at 8k. So still lots of timing to put in the car.

So the boost is looking good, tomorrow I will spend a lot of time on the timing map. I have a little to clean up on the AFR front but not to much.

Here are the results so far. Also no back to back pulls to validate number, will do that at the end of the tuning.

So at 24psi, the afrs are starting to get into the 12.4 range. So I am maxed out on the unmodded and non rewired walbro 255. I have my relays and wire so I should have the rewire all done today/tomorrow sometime. I am just going to do a ghetto rewire and see if it solves my problem. I will do a super legit rewire spliced into the factory harness after I build my double pumper.

So I rewired the fuel pump, but I am still out of fuel. That poor little walbro 255 just is not up to the task. Afr's go a little richer this pull but nothing amazing. I also setup the Hi/Low fuel pump circuit so that at idle the can will run less fuel pressure however that did not work out all that well. I am still at about ~40psi at idle.

But the car pulls pretty hard. I am going to put in the EBC during the week so that I can spike the boost and then taper it so I can get more torque out of this setup. I am also considering putting in the stock cams just to see what they do.

Also the 7psi wategate spring is not up to the job either, so that will need to be changed as well. The boost profile is all over the place with that little spring in there. however for road racing I would love to be able to run low boost, however the lowest I ever saw was about 16 or 17psi at 8k with the 7psi spring.

Other than the rewire, I added 1* of timing at peek torque area. I will add some more timing and see where it takes me.

Here is the graph.

Robi KW Race and Vorschlag camber plates installed and race aligned at West End.

Final weight with 3/4 tank of E85 was 2876 .

So now I need to find out where I can kill another 76lbs.

AEM Infinity FTW.

So now that I have been on the infinity for a while, going from a series 1, and using series 2's on other cars, the infinity is just so amazing. It is every bit as amazing as they say.

Once you have the VE table setup, you can more or less just toss any set of parts on and go. You can toss in different cams, and it will maintain the same AFR without any tuning, I went from the AMS F1i to the Stock ported, and required no tuning to start making pulls. I did have to adjust the VE so that the ecu did not have to correct as much, but I can just toss parts on and go. It is really amazing.

During Feb I will switch out to 100% flex fuel. I am thinking about doing 87oct to E85

Anyhow here are some pics.

This is a great build. I'm loving the wiring, exhaust and self tuning results. It's cool to see the low boost tunes with the hta just for reference.
