Turbo

Parts are all finally starting to show up, and I still have quite a few things I need to order. I will be road racing the car, along with quarter mile and standing mile.

HP Goals
20psi -- 400/400 Road Racing
38psi -- 700/550 1/4 mile, standing mile
45psi -- 800+/? Dyno Queen

I am on the .63 hotside to help spool the turbo up for road racing, I dont care about peek power for road racing, just want to keep the air charge cool, and keep the car running really smooth. When I am ready to hit the non road racing stuff, I will swap on a .82 hotside and then make some serious power.

Fuel system will get a massive overhaul soon enough, just need to get done with puting the car together and getting a base tune. I will end up with the 2150cc and a double pumper.

Built motor coming soon also, need to figure out if I want to go 2.0LR or 2.3RPM.

Also when I get done with the tax man, I will be getting my Robispec KW Race coilovers.

Some pics.

UPDATE 2/24/13
================================================== =================
I got my intake all sorted out, and I had to ditch my old race series spal fan in favor of a slim spal fan. It moves about 1/2 the cfm, so we will see how it does around the road track, I amight need to end up with a different radiator.

To make the intake I just used a 4" straight coupler, and a 45* 4" aluminum pipe that I cut to size, and then poped a filter on there.

So pics of the garage:

Rotated vf39 on the sti.

Nice setup. I run a hta86 setup on the .63 hotside now. I love the spoolup of it. Sure, I will lose some top end, but its great for a street car!

Intake complete, next up is the turbo back, and the recirculated wastegate.

I will be tuning on e85 soon with my .63/hta86. Should still make some crazy power with impressive spoolup. I made 470 on Buschurs heartbreaker on straight pump so far.

I went and picked up my RobiSpec KW Race Coilovers. Everytime I go visit with Robi, that guy is a huge batch of racing info. I am just amazed at how willing he is to share what works and what does not. It is just amazing.

So these are the top of the line coilover for under 5k. They look amazing.

Doing the wire harness all over the car.

I am not sure how much I am going to remove, but I did pull the dash out, and started to trim where I could.

that seems very labor intensive but i'm sure the end result is well worth it.

Just finished doing the whole harness. Side harnesses, fender harnesses, dash harness, and engine harness. What a long process. I removed tons of stuff from the car, at least 10lbs of wire and plugs. It took longer than expected but well worth it.

I added a startup video, and I have about 1-2 weeks left before the car is 100%.

So I have started to put everything back together. I have another 1-1.5 days until it is all complete. All the basic tests show that everything is working great. Car will need a good tune, but other than that phase one is complete. Now I need to do the fuel system.

The exhaust is all finished up.

When I have some more time I will recirculate the wastegate back into the exhaust. However I am off to RobiSpec next week for my race align so I just need to get the car driving and deal with the small things in the up coming weeks. Vorschlag camber/caster plates will be here next week. As soon as those show up off to Robi.
