05 VIII's were Electric Blue not BBY. Looking at the pics it is EB. Just wanted to clarify for you.

Good luck on the build. 1000hp isn't easy. But if you like drag racing shoot for the moon right!!

From the builds of that caliber on here, it seems a smaller displacement is needed for that amount of power, a 2.4 won't have the ability to rev high enough to get you there. Something like a 2.0 or 2.1 with a 6766 or super 94/99 and a ****load of boost and fuel will do it. Goodluck

That would be awesome if you made that much power on a 2.4! Good luck and keep us posted.

There are a lot of things you need to take into consideration. You should look into a 2.0 motor and Figure out how your going to properly fuel it for 1k power. I would suggest using a big single pump. Also your goal Dynojet numbers I assume? 1000k mustang is very unheard of.

right now it has a new oem polished and balanced 100mm crank but im most likely going to go with a manley. I was going to do a 2.0 build but i decided to shoot for a 2.4LR for 1k because it's not common, im also probably going to go with a double pumper.
