Used shep trans

New Shep Tcase

IN

This part....

Missing the o-ring between tcase and trans...........

This shaft is bent...more shipping damage...ShepTrans is sending me the o-ring, the shift selector, a shifter bracket clip and the passenger side inner axle I forgot to take out of my old tcase.

I haven't had any issues with them so far, but we'll see. It's the MB7 XTSS

The base tune from Tom came in five days ago...there was a rattle at the flywheel area which turned out to be the block plate/starter shim/spacer/stupid thing whatever you want to call it between the engine and transmission. Between this picture and the last post the transmission came off twice... The first time I forgot the plate so we separated the trans and slid it in behind the flywheel...then it was making noise because the two below 10mm bolts weren't in there.......

And apparently if you drive one axle stub shaft in the tcase it can push the other side out just a bit to where it destroys the c-clip and the stub shaft when you try to drive it and don't know...luckily the tcase is ok...pics of that later.

Here is where it is now...
need to put the wheels on and bumper on then break in time!

When I replaced the damaged shifter I pulled out the old one, obviously, but didnt know there was a spring at the bottom, the spring stayed in the trans....when I put the new shifter in it knocked if off onto the shifter rails. After a few hundred miles...somehow it lasted that long....it got stuck to where I only had 1st 3rd and 5th gear... end result after an hour of fishing the parts out:

What it's supposed to look like:

Then while doing a compression test one of the plugs broke off in the head....just the threaded part...the whole thing...I don't have a pic of that yet...

Everything looked good with the comp test though:

Then....... we put a nice new Walbro 450lph fuel pump in!!!! While my friend was heatshrinking some wires it decided to combust and melted most of the things on the bench, including my old 255 and the pump hanger....

Exactly this:

Still waiting on TOM to get this tune dialed in properly. I need a FPR to get my fuel pressure in line. More to come....
