Thank you all for the kind words. I am VERY eager to run the car this weekend.

I have the car about 90% put back together. I just have to finish up a few small things and add fluids. Then bleed/adjust the Tilton.

I 100% agree about the clutch and shifter. My 7.25 twin was miserable and the short shifters mess up the geometry of the cables so it is never "right".

Car should be running tonight. Sometime this week I will take it out for a spin to make sure everything is good to go. I'll let you know my opinion on the clutch as soon as I can drive it.

Just wondering if you have ever tried Amsoil in your drivetrain, or have you always used Redline?

I ONLY use:

- Redline 75w140NS in the transmission (3 quarts)
- Redline heavy weight shockproof in the tcase (.75 quarts)
- Redline heavy weight shockproof in the rear end (.65 quarts)
- Brad Penn 20w50 motor oil

Although Amsoil may be good. I feel it is overpriced and stick with what I know works.

Update 4.22.2014

Well after a few long months she is alive and running again! Tomorrow I'm going to switch back to E98 plus wrap up a few other small items. Then after a quick boost leak test I should be good to take it for a quick drive.

I have been going over the car with a fine tooth comb. Checking hoses, fittings, bolts, etc. My first race of the season is this weekend.

Today with the help of my brother in-law we got the Tilton all setup. Reading through the install paperwork that came with the clutch I came across something interesting I've never heard of.

Check this out:

Helper spring removed:

Thinking back I wonder if this part should have been removed when I had the QM. Considering the hydraulic throw out bearing assemblies are very similar to one another. Not sure how much of a difference it will make but I trust what Tilton says to do so out it came.

Using the supplied Tilton clutch stop we got everything dialed in. With the car on jack stands and the transmission in first gear I rotated the drive shaft while my brother in-law adjusted the clutch pedal and stop. It adjusted much better than the QM ever did. I love how the clutch pedal feels and am excited to drive it!

My Mickey Thompsons are mounted and ready to rock. I'm glad I went with the 15 x 8 Rota's this time around. They fit the 8.5" width slick much better. They fit nicely on all 4 corners with the use of 8 mm spacers. On a negative side they are quite a bit heavier than the 24.5" M&H slicks and 15 x 7" Rota's I ran last year. I have exact numbers and may post them up later. The new tire/wheel combo is roughly 7 lbs heavier per corner. I guess that is the price I have to pay to have a wider wheel and larger tire. I will make up for some of the weight gain once I get my new scalloped and drilled rotors up front. I am still waiting on my Brake Man pads that I ordered from STM almost a month ago.

A few other random pictures:

This intrigues me quite a bit, first I've seen or heard of this.. wondering as well what difference it makes.

Tires and wheels look meaty! can't wait to see the overall look

Big fan of the wrinkle black compressor cover. I see you have a rad support to valve cover ground wire. Is this instead of having the firewall to intake manifold ground wire, or do you still have that too? Have you added any extra ground wires?
