I always enjoyed seeing the progression of your car.. I feel like it is the slightly more race car version of mine. And they are both GG. You should come out to World Cup Finals at MIR. I went to that event with no cage and all they require is a diaper pan installed on the car. But I did compete in the True Street Class.

I shot you over a PM with a question.

Update 10.31.2014

Just installed a new Buschur Racing BFIC intercooler with custom back door design inlet & outlet. The new core measures 24" long x 13" high x 4.5" thick.

We also built all new aluminum intercooler piping that should keep the piping from ever blowing off. The lower pipe is 2.5" and is connected to the compressor with a Vibrant aluminum v-band kit. The upper pipe is 2.75" to match the inlet of my 70mm throttle body. A new Tial Q blow off valve was added as well.

The kit came out great! Thanks Buschur Racing

Looks good man! Interesting Buschur decided to "hard mount" the UICP to the motor mount area like that, don't think I've seen him do that before.

Its not hard mounted. That is actually just a stop and is not actually connected to the pipe. The only place it could ever really blow off is at the throttle body. If it ever does the stop will keep it from hitting the master cylinder.

Ahhhh alright! For some reason I thought that bracket was welded to the pipe, makes sense now!

New parts look good Chris when will you be back out to the track? Are they still racing in your area?

Good idea with the "stop" as that exact issue happened to me twice

We have a track that is open every Saturday in November weather permitting. I'm hoping next weekend as of now.

Fingers crossed!

Well I think I can officially say no more racing for me this year. Ohio weather didn't cooperate. The car has been switched over to pump gas and put away in storage.

I have a few things I'd like to do over the winter. But honestly the car is ready to go as is. 8's will have no wait another year.

My winter plans include:

- Send intercooler piping and exhaust manifold off to Tirado Custom Coatings to be coated.
- Modify interior harness. Remove all wiring not needed.
- Switch to a lithium small battery with charge terminals mounted on the firewall.
- Install a Buschur Racing parachute mount w/ chute, etc..
- Cage? (maybe)
- Install a staging brake.

I'm not sure what the future will hold for this car. I've said I would never sell but have tossed around the idea a few times lately. I'd really like to hit my goal of 8's first. We'll see I guess....

What kind of coating is going on the Intercooler pipes, I just bought a BR street core with Upper and Lower intercooler pipes and intake and was thinking of having similar coating done.

The new piping will be done in a crinkle black powder coat by Tirado Custom Coatings. My old I/C piping was done the same way.

TCC does top notch work!
