I love taking my EVO to the track but I hate breaking stuff so with this setup ill probably steer away from it. I will be running it at the Buschur shoot out and East Coast shoot out and big events like that but it wont be all the time. The goal is a 9 sec pass and if I actually reach that ill probably frame the time slip and retire the car I will be running it at any and every roll racing event that I can make it too though!

I am absolutely going to get sick of it very quickly! lol I have my fab guy making me a turn down pipe with a race muffler for normal driving. When I go to a show or feel like raising hell it'll just be a quick 5 minute swap!

So, more updates! I got the engine installed last night and almost all of the wiring harness hooked back up. I ran into a little snag when I went to install the clutch.. I noticed there is a place for a dowel pin so I searched frantically for an hour to find it and then called it quits for the night. It happened to be my dads birthday so it wasn't a big deal and allowed for a little family time. Well, about 9 o' clock I was texting my tuner and popped the question to see if he had an extra dowel laying around, which is when he told me that they are not needed -_- Nothing like searching for something that doesn't exist! lol Soooo... I went back out in the garage and installed the clutch and got all of the mounts put back on the transmission so I can install that tonight.

A few more updates! My car is officially all together (basically) and is at my tuners house getting some fab work done so that it we can fire it up and break it in which was supposed to be done this weekend. When I went to install the radiator I realized that there was no room for one. What me and sheepey didn't know is that what I requested basically made it impossible to run a standard half radiator so once again I am at a stopping point with a week and a half left to get my car running. I call up Alex and tell him the issue and how im running out of time ect ect.. so he tells me "No Worries, ill build you a completely new kit this weekend!" - On his holiday weekend (which he just had a baby a few days prior) him and his crew came in and built me a new kit so that he could overnight it to me yesterday for delivery today!! I just really cant say enough awesome things about sheepey and the customer service they provide.. not to mention they have bent over backwards for me on a few occasions!

So the car should be together tonight, and be completely done by tomorrow so hopefully we can fire it up tomorrow night or Friday so I can break it in throughout the weekend and till next Wednesday. I will be heading down the Ocean City Maryland for AWD Meet and will probably be tuning it on coastal highway LOL - if you will be down there feel free to come say hi! Ill be with the House Of Power crew!

Now - onto the pictures!!

And last, but certainly not least. A picture of my new kit that Sheepey made for me!

Another update.... not a good one. Went to start my car the other night and basically my entire harness up top where the injectors are, melted completely. Me and my tuner tried to track it for about 4-5 hours and figured out the the general area the issue was in but couldn't actually locate the problem itself So, as of right now my dash is ripped out of my car and I am having an entire harness overnighted for me tomorrow. Hopefully there is no issues with it and I can get it down to Ocean City for AWD Meet, I was doing a lot of $hit talking so it would be a shame for me to not make it down with the evo :P If the evo doesn't make it just keep an eye out for a red viper doing burnouts everywhere lol

Another update.. that is, well, bitter sweet. Due to some issues that have arose a while back I lost interest in the EVO and even contemplated parting everything out and selling it. It was a really ****ty situation and just something that really drug me down. BUT, within the past few week some things are starting to finally look up and something in me lit the fire and desire to get my EVO done So, with that said last night I finished up getting the new harness in an situated and checked over everything. After that I decided to give the car power and check everything out..... and what do you know, ITS FIXED!!

An update on a few more things. I sold my AMS Oil Pan to go a different route with my fab guy... But I no longer support that shop (Part of the initial problem) the end result was I got screwed out of selling a nice pan and getting stuck with nothing, lucky me

So I follow a good bit of people and noticed that Inline Racing made a really nice modified stock oil pan for an awesome price.. so I picked one up!

I seem to have misplaced my stock Oil Pan Baffle but as soon as I can find it or source one to get this oil pan on, my car will be started the same night. My goal is to fire it up this Friday.

It could be your head or block is warped, or you stretched the head studs to many times. You shouldn't be having issues... Do you have L19s what are they torqued at?? I plan to be in the 45psi range and don't really plan on lifting the head lol

Look into the inline racing modified oil pan. Increases capacity to 6.5qts also has extra baffling to keep your oil pressure in check during those gforce pulling launches/shifts at the track.

I am running custom aged 625+ head studs. I believe I may have found the problem. I have my block o ringed and used to have steel o rings copper headgasket and receiver grooves in head. I decked off the reciever grooves and didnt take into account that they took of .40" to take the grooves out. I went to an MLS headgasket and copper o rings to be a little more "street" friendly. I had been on stock 8 headgasket and it was lifting the head. I believe it is because taking that much off the head and not compensating with a thicker headgasket upped the already high compression and was causing problems. I have not put a cosworth 1.5mm headgasket and am seeing no problems so far!

Thanks! Same for you! I know how discouraging it can be to build a car like this and my best advice is to do exactly what you did. Let it sit when you get frustrated and then come back to it with a clear head... thats what ive done for years!! haha.. I hope you finish it and it turns out to be everything you wanted man... thats all we can always hope for in a high hp build! lol

I have to figure out how to update my sig in evom because there is a lot of stuff that is on that that is old ie 6765 instead of my 6766cea. It says i dont have priveleges to update my profile stuff weird... I wonder if its because I havent been on in awhile.
