Can you tell me what is that good fore? What is the purpose of it?
Dont quite understand?

Its called "hard blocking", to be quick and dirty, it is a way to stabilize the block and add structural integrity. You fill the coolant passages with a special type of concrete made for race engines.

My personal motor is a half fill which means it is filled half way up on the cylinder jacket. Coolant still passes around the top and I still use a factory water pump for coolant circulation.

This is the first time ever running any sort of fill in the block but I wanted to do it for a few reasons. 1st Im running 86mm bore and the cylinders are a little thinner so I wanted to make sure I had no issues cracking a cylinder like some have. 2nd I am going to push this motor VERY hard and I wanted to ensure the best options for keeping the motor together and as reliable as possible. 3rd, I do not want to have to do this at another time, Id rather do it now, have the machinework done and be done in one shot.

Is that a half fill? Easier way is to use the freeze plug holes and let it flow around. Fill from the 2 center holes on each side

Yeah its a half fill... well More like a 3/4 fill. Don at Accellerated leaves them in and fills from top. Ive never done it so I let him do his thing.

Think I'm going to half fill my block too when I build mine. Rather do it than regret not doing it.

Looking good !

Sorry for the delay on posts. A lot has happened in the last couple months. Graduated from school, new job, new baby.

I also finally bought a tow rig so I was able to bring the car home and start getting to work. I had a little help yesterday so it made it a little better.

Slicks, Whalen tuned manual brake kit, stm wilwood kit, stm staging brake kit, and the new coil overs (buddy clubs with custom valving and springs) all installed.

Man..... this week is starting off great.... gotta admit. So today my unicorn arrived..... billet forks and no more syncros! Can't wait to finally be able to man shift the car.

Btw.... this is NOT a dogbox.... these are FACTORY gears.
