Still waiting
on the charger rebuild, day 75

Company now claims it will be finished at the end of this week. I'm also still waiting on the motor temp gauge. What about the lowest 'displayed mileage' Evo, am I a contender?

Why dont they just send you a new piece instead of rebuilding it ? Sorry if I missed something in the threads...

I don't know, but my guess is that it's the least expensive option for them. Technically, my charger is no longer under warranty. Fingers crossed they actually finish it this week. I'm ready to put some miles on the Evo.

I'd like to see electron bom go against these crazy Canadians when the evo is ready:

It could be the beginning of a new north american EV time attack series!

Wow that Evora. Great time to be alive. I dont care what powers it, if it goes fast its cool. And that its effing fast only helps. Electric motorsports is going to be something to watch.

Looking forward to this becoming more mainstream.

Still Waiting
on the charger rebuild, day 92

The company missed the extended deadline two weeks ago, but now claim that they were actually waiting on parts (which just happend to arrive the day I called them).

I've been following that Lotus build for a while, it is really well done.

Motor temp gauge and IR sensor finally showed up. I should be able to install them some time next week.

Is there a preferred heat range the motor should be running or whats the max acceptable limit you dont want it to exceed?

Also is there a ideal specific location or part on the motor the IR sensor should be installed on or monitor?

You're more patient than I would be. How about buying a new charger and then selling the rebuilt one when it finally comes back to you?

I'm sorry but I'd have gotten a Lawyer in their backsides by now. I mean I know it isn't exactly practical a thing, but neither is 114 days so far waiting. Should have just given you a new one or something.

So this is where things are at the moment. I suppose it must take a minimum of a full business week to check the shipping log and note whether a $3500 part has shipped or not, since I've yet to receive a tracking number or update.
