Is that the only payment he'll accept form us here in the US? If so, that sucks.. I might have to send cash in the box

I dont know what the circumstance was because he told me initially he accepted paypal...

Whats worse is not only did the bank charge me an additional $50 to do the wire, the next day he tells me the payment was $53 NZD short. Turns out his bank was also skimming off the top.

Damn banks lol. But ya thats odd, wonder what Paypal did to him cause I sent it that way and it did the conversion for me, pretty painless.

Thank you guys! Not much to report. Got a few small items for Christmas gifts from the fam. Its just too cold to work on the car. Should have gotten a heater installed while it was warm out.

Also need to get an engine hoist so I can pull the motor next.

Its a good idea, but for not much more I could get one fed by natural gas which would be a permanent fixture. Will also add an AC unit for the hot summer.

Just need to run the gas line. Problem is ground is frozen solid...

The other issue is I was hoping to have car ready for this seasons events. Looking like that may not be possible because of all the winter down time.

No bull**** this thread and you guys inspired me lol.

Warmest I can get garage when say its 23 outside is like 39-41 with a small elec heater. But I dress warm. Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey also helps lol

After several days of a few hours here and there, I am almost ready to pull the motor and trans. Luckily Harbor Freight had a huge sale. Got 2ton hoist for 179 bucks, and 1/2ton engine stand for 59.

Bought and assembled 2ton cherry picker, load leveler, engine stand.

Got All IC piping, rad/heater-core piping, intercooler, turbo assembly etc off. Electrical, clutch, PS, AC and stuff also. The only remaining things to do before I can pull motor/trans as one is to disconnect the transfer case, axles, and oil cooler. Coming right along.

Putting hoist together

Harbor freight Load leveler, IC/crash beam removed

Hoist ready for work

I love my dog...

Turbo/manifold removed

Look at all the room for activities!

Ready for removal besides axles, transfer-case, Oil-cooler lines etc.

The plan once its out is as follows. But I welcome any suggestions as well. This is all under the hood stuff, still need to install the TRE rear end. But that will be a seperate project. Will prob do Buschur billet mounts and mustache bar delete or Buschur bar...

Underhood/Engine/trans related:
Cleaning, weight reduction, painting
EGR Delete
AC Delete
Racefab pan/Tomei Baffle. Tomei oil-cooler thermostat delete.
Maybe Ralliart Thermostat
New Timing belt, accessory belt, water pump, Zaklee Clear Cam Gear Cover
6spd to TRE stage 3 5spd swap plus Excedy clutch and flywheel. Install Works clutch line. AMS shift knob, STM aluminum under hood shifter cable bushings.

And once its all back in:
Evo6 Koyo and Koyo cap
Samco Hoses
Upgraded front mount oil cooler, and power steering cooler
ETS short route upper and lower piping, undecided on core. Maybe ARC or just go heavy bar and plate and get the ETS 3"...
Convert to SpeedDensity so SD intake and IC piping to match? I need to research this more...
Larger injectors for e85
Evo X fusible link/finish batt relocation

LoL nice! I should be ashamed I guess of the cheap chinese tools, but for an enthusiast/weekend warrior I can not justify the cost of higher end tools.

I do have a lot of US made Craftsman stuff though.
