I finally bit the bullet and spent like $60 on a Spectre intake (pls don't flame me, next paycheck I'm gonna get the K&N one.) Now I have to get it tuned because it's giving me an engine code saying the system is too lean. Which means the intake is doing its job (I think.)
Anyways, it was a fun project and I'm looking forward to many more. the finished product
Thanks so much! I'd imagine it's throwing that code because the diameter of the tubing is a little larger (1/4in if if I recall) so that's probably throwing the MAF sensor off some. In the coming months I'm gonna take it to get tuned, maybe a new ECU and maybe a muffler delete. I'd prefer to stick to actual performance mods for now though.
As for suspension, from my experience working at a large orange parts store and my tens of hours playing Mechanic Simulator 2015, I can imagine suspension parts are large, awkward, heavy, and absolutely no fun to deal with, so I haven't really considered any suspension work outside of the rattling noise I was hearing from my wheels last week (turned out to be loose lugs, lol)
Try and plan out where you want to go with mods. If you're just adding a piece at a time, then you'll be spending most of your pay check on the tuner doing flash tweaks.
