Guys not wanting to kill this guys for sale thread but dealers know about this problem with corrosion getting into the ayc pump. My dealer replaced mine free of charge after inspecting the pump and seeing the corrosion. I'm way out of warranty also on my 08 evo X but it's a know issue....

bump for lower price. Yea its a known issue especially with salty roads, however my dealer was not as nice as yours and the job cost me $1400 CAD, he did say he gave me discount on the part though.

I doubt the dealer will replace mine. It's at 130k northeastern car though. Maybe I should pitch the idea to them...

Two points of interest here. Didn't Mitsu extend the ACD/AYC warranty to 10/100K? Also, potential buyers may have luck with the rebuild kit from SSP as long as the pump motor itself is not burned out

I am at 130k. Dealer says I have to $$$ up! I didn't know about the rebuild kit. I contacted ssp about it. That would be a hell of a lot cheaper than going new Oem. Thanks for the link.
