yes, i guarantee that your head shield will bolt onto this manifold. the holes for the shield is not shaved off for this one. yes, i would recommend tapping the exhaust manifold for an EGT now. i have the egt and boost sensor with my zeitronix setup and it proves to be very useful. my paypal is bohy@mecah.com. let me know when you send the money...

Ok - so how much for the tapping for EGT and which cylinder is recommended? Also, how much would it cost to Swain coat the manifold? Thanks

wayne already has a ported manifold tapped for an egt, which is tapped on the 2nd exhaust runner. for the ported/coated manifold, it is $300 shipped.

Is the #2 cylinder the one to watch? For some reason I seem to recall that #4 was the one that ran hot? Did Scott (TTP) recommend #2? Thanks

i just know that from my old 1st gen dsm days. they said #2 ran the hottest, and thats the reason why the factory knock sensor was behind that cylinder. for the evo's, i have seen people say #1 runs the hottest, others have said #2 does.
