I'm guessing, however, that this is still a "5-speed only" design?

 

It is 5 speed only but good news is that short ram for autos is done. The parts are at the painter. Will have pics of SRI next week.

larger filter? whats the diameter of the pipe? 2.5?

 

We used to use smaller filter. Although it was the most effecient one for the size, we were able to move stuff in such a way to fit larger filter cause guys were complaining, "Bigger is better!"

Piping is 2.5 and flared out to 2.75 at MAS sensor. Very nice.

is the hp gain any different from the first version

 

both versions are powdercoated, rrm powder coats everything, never paints it (if it goes in the engine bay)

Yay! One piece, ROCK rocks~ Never really like playing jigsaw puzzles.... 1 piece = simple = good. Too bad CAI only available with the stick... no cai for autos

 

damnit! just bought mine and its the old one =[ ohh well, got it 'slighly tested' (used) for $100 so i cant complain. if you already have the old one installed, is there any advantage to swapping in the future?

 

It is really nice. Only bummer is shipping it all one piece. We will have short Ram for Auto guys. We tested it and it showed nice improvement on 0-60 times!
