Yes I see what your saying... Although GSC cams have the same specs there is still a difference, this is why we are seeing different numbers then hks cams. You would think they would have the same results but there are some differences which i cannot say. Greg at GSC will have to answer what the differences are, until then just admir the numbers

It is so great to have this much power. The evo's should come stock with the same power as I have. Having the cams for a few weeks I love them more and more. the drivability is much better, you have more power all over even down low, and the torque is great feels like a muscle car instead of a turbo charged 4cyl.

Love how it pulls harder and harder up the RPM band also, its a great feeling, have to supply dipers to my friends now.

Okay, so do these cams have the same lift as HKS or not?? All I want to know is if I can run these on the stock valvetrain and not make contact w/ my valve seals. I do not want to sacrifice power for the sake of reliability. Can we get an official answer on this??

Yes there is no problems when running it with the stock valvetrain. I Also do not have any valvetrain upgrades except some headstuds. You should be fine, only need to upgrade if you go with 280's.

Yeah,

I hadn't seen that about Tomei, maybe so, which would be cool I guess.

I'm giddy to get my cams installed, I hope they give remotely as good results as the GSC.

Everyone is keen on the 272/264 lately, but I went with 264/272. The Buddy Club only come in this configuration. I was going to get GSC straight 264s, but Evo11v's results intrigued me. The GSC 264/272 weren't in stock and I have had great experience with Gruppe-S so I went that route. On a side note, my car has been running awesome lately, and I'm getting very good mileage to boot (>250 miles a tank adding about 12 gallons). Ever since I ditched the Magnecors and put the stock plug wires back on. If the cams make a really noticeable diff I think I'll just be ecstatic, lol.

Take care,

FB

I actually have the Buddy Clubs getting installed this Thurs, but I probably won't have a dyno for awhile. I can post my impressions for sure.

Lift and durantion may be similar - from what I gather the variation is in the lobe profile and ramp up rate

GSC should be getting them in soon and they should be in stock at logicperformance around the 21st of this month or earlier. FYI

instead of dyno testing someone needs to get a cam profiler and measure all 3 sets: HKS Buddy club and GSC. Otherwise we will just keep going in circles here...

Agreed. Unless GSC posts their cam data. All I really care about is lift....don't wanna beat up on my valve seals.

those specs just state the lift and duration but do not have the actual profile of the cam.

This is what I'm talking about ... http://www.performancetrends.com/ca20.htm

Yes, but 1.8t asked for lift, which is stated on their web site.
