what does my spark plugs tell you?

tell me what you think.

I think, from reading upon "how to read spark plugs", they look like my engine is running rich and pulling timing.

it's either that or it's running hella lean, detonating like there's no tomorrow, and it's pulling some unreal timings.

tell me.

Look close at the ceramic around the base of the gap. You'll probably need a magnifying glass. Look for microscopic particles of metal. I think you're just running rich, but if you find small bubbles of metal then its detonation.

Ive been using bpr8es without a problem ... I see why u need to log the car, U should try lowering boost maybe thats the reason ur timing is being pulled..

well, here is my dyno graph with a/f ratio (tail pipe snifer)

That doesn't look rich to me.

I have no cat, but 2 x 5" resonator pipes... this graph is at 20 ~21 psi.

from pictures, spark plug examples, I'm looking at now, it looks like my plugs are normal.

I think the plugs look normal. If the entire plug was black then there would be a problem of the car running rich. A tan to light tan color indicates that everything is running fine. Like someone else said, check for det. I am beginning to think you have a fuel issue too.

This is giving me the urge to pull mine too

well, looks like I'm not pulling that much timing.

The top of the electrode is still intact with the protrusion.

so, im not pulling that much timing.

The top is actually like a mocha with whip cream stirred in it, color.

yeh, sorta like a brown tan.

Taylor, pull your spark plugs out and post it. lets compare. you're tuned.

To do a true plug chop you need to run the car from 3000prm up to redline and then shut it off immediately and remove plugs. That way you're looking at OL fueling.

Mine look like that. Only I am running and intake and wablro w/ no tune and my car is freaking slow for its mods. I seriously hope the tune wakens it up because otherwise I am going to be dynoing about 235whp with the mods in my sig.
