IX RS Finally goes 10's
IX RS Finally goes 10's
Well, its been a long haul with lots of ups and downs. I can't tell you how many times I wanted to just sell the car or at least give up on the stock turbo stuff. First off, I really want to thank Oscar, Rolo and all the guys at CFT for taking the time to work on the car. Their workmanship is great and ultimately they are the ones that finished the car and got it into the 10's. They are some of the nicest guys in the industry. Very passionate about what they do and we enjoyed our very HOT two days in Orlando
That being said, this has been a joint effort on many people's part. It started with Mike and Cwill at AWDMOTORSPORTS. They are ones that did 90% of the dirty work. Without them, this car would never perform the way it does. CFT came into play towards the end, but nothing can be taken away from them. They gave me some great ideas and didn't mess around. There is still some work left in it and I know we can dig deeper into the 10's, I think it will end up being a 10.50 car in the end with no other major changes. I also have to say Buschur has worked on this as well as AMS. I have worked with Chirs at No Limit Motorsports also. This stuff just doesn't happen over night and without lots of help. So, what I am trying to say are many people have had a part in the project and I respect them all for what they have given whether it be time, parts, etc. It is just that I am on this journey by myself, I have to do whats best for me and the wallet. I hope everyone can respect that and remain civil.
Timeslip data:

Congrats Brian here in CFT and I are glad and proud how the car perform at the track and dyno. When you bring the car back again I know we would try to fix the boost problem so we can go 400+ and better the 10.7
Send me the vids to the email and pics so I can do the Vid
Thanks for all the tips Oscar. It was an amazing feeling pulling a 1.50 60' first time ever on a set up like that and on slicks. I sent the pics over all ready and am working on vids now....

Nice work and we really appreciate you including us in the Writeup.. I didnt consider the slick size for the MPH loss and now it all make sense.. Besides hooking 1.4's which will bring the MPH down you had the smaller tire.. Excellent work by CFT and Rolo as usual!! You ran a 10 second pass on your own as well which makes us proud here.. I will fwd the info to Cwill who is the one responsible for doing all the work on the car that was done here.. I am just a combinations guy.. I know what works from experience!! Good luck and i am sure its going to break Curts 10.59 record soon enough!!
Congrats Brian on reaching your goal of 10's, however you got there.
So the full list of changes done to the car to take it from 11.01@125mph with the TTP-Engineering stock ecu/maf reflash, to 10.77 @ 123mph with CFT tuning was the following?
AEM standalone EMS
AEM Meth Kit
Custom ram air intake, no MAF sensor, no intake filter
24" slicks swapped for street tires
New OEM 0 mile Evo IX turbo
C16 w/ Methanol injection
RaceMan Oscar Robles, pro driver (140lbs) NLTS
We heard about most of the changes, but the use of meth injection is a surprise.

Either way, congrats on the breaking into the 10s Brian! Are you going for the WR now? You're pretty close...
Time to update the sig Brian.
Congratulations to the car owner, the car driver and all of the shops the car has ever been touched by.
Those are great results, especially at Orlando Spin World. I almost went myself last night.

People can say whatever they want about the changes. But guess what, they worked
I will continue forward and will continue making the car faster. Last night was just some quick shakedown runs.
