^^^^. I spoke with Amber at FP last week and she said Robert would not be making a BB Black. FP's reason, "it would cost way too much".

I personally made 480whp with my bbk on a dynojet but first weather and then an accident prevented me from ever getting the car down the 1/4 mile.

To this day I think that the bbk/green are perfect *the* perfect size for most evo owners. On e85 you can max out a set of 1000cc injectors and a standard walbro and be right at the safe limit of the stock block while still making enough TORQUE down low to make a car full of guys giggle and enough power up top to get you into the 125-127mph area.

Isay do it, powerband is what makes these cars fun!
I agree more or less, but feel the HTA Green flows slightly more based on my experiences (and data) from both turbos. For a street car, I think the HTA Green is the perfect size - very good transient response and great power band.

Thanks Curt on your feedback. Can you share any information on your setup and how you are able to get the kind of power needed to trap at 137+ mph ?

You are correct. Robert was initially going to get center sections from Owens but the import price then his market would be to much for us "normal" consumers.

Robert would have to design his own bb center section. Robert should be coming out with something soon. I think Chad even hinted in a thread a few weeks ago about him coming out with a new turbo too.

I've seen little hints here and there from both of them about BB stock frame turbos but I think we would all be lucky to see them by the end of the year or even the beginning of next year.

I was talking with someone reguarding the red and green and I asked if they were coming out with bb turbos. They said they didn't want to hinder my decision now, and that they have no date on if/when they were to come out with this, but could be within the year. They said that they have no public information on it as of now....

WTF should I do with my evo 9 turbo just sitting in the garage now??? Talk about tough decisions!

I'm really not sure how much of a benefit it would be to even have BB, to be honest.

I am send my turbo to Owens some time down the road. I'm still waiting for that joke to dyno his BB Black.

Honestly, I think if you BB either of those smaller frame stock turbos you will have major surge issues. I am not sure if an anti surge cover is enough to eliminate it.

BB CHRA's in stock frame turbo's are great. I think they just need a surge cover.

Aby you should be able to get close to 500 out of a maxed out HTA Green/BBK on E. If your tired of the Black and want more down low then go for it. I'd keep the Black though

Send the HTA Green to Owens to get the BB service... then make 500whp.

Done and done.
