Thats why his gas mileage is so bad. My car makes almost the same power, yet gets stock like if not better gas milage.

Question I have another more pressing problem

Hi guys, I appreciate all the well wishing from those of you who are concerned about me and my car. I'm fairly certain that the car can be tuned successfully, but for now I have a more pressing problem.

While the car was in the body shop, something happened and it will not start. So far I've done the following:

1. I've checked all the fuses I can see under the hood (they are OK)
2. Replaced the battery (it was dead)
3. Checked for errors with the laptop (everything seems right)
4. Checked for spark (it's good, got spark)

The fuel pump makes noise when I turn on the key, but I'm not sure I'm getting fuel to the engine. I'm also not sure if my injectors are firing. They do have the 12V going to them with the ignition on, but I can't tell if the ground is making when the car cranks.

Oh yeah, the famous MDP sensor is not connected (although that will not affect the car for starting since the EMS does not use those signals until the car is running). I'm pretty much baffled by this problem. I need to do somthing to get the car started, otherwise I'll need to get it towed somewhere to get this addressed.

There was a topic or two in the past where guys had similar problems and found blown fuses or relays or other components that caused this. I'd really appreciate information leading to those posts or any other tips that might help me diagnose and cure this problem.

Thanks,

Manuel

Contrary to what some folks might claim, I do not know how to change the fuel or ignition maps in the AEM EMS. Also, I don't know what values to input even if I did know how to do it. I'll see if I can get help with the fuel mapping after I get the car started and out of the body shop....

I'm saying that my car is getting sorted out and the problems and mistakes that I received with the car are being corrected. George does not have the details and information about these matters yet but I'll inform him very soon. I hope he'll work with me to make things right.
