RSS Feeds?

I was just over at Ls1Tech and saw they have RSS turned on so you can subscribe through Firefox or any RSS reader. Does evoM have this too? It looks like this site is running vBulletin just as they are so it should be as easy as flipping a switch.

Looks pretty cool!

Wow, I am really suprised no one has picked up on RSS. I figured it would be really nice to pull down the latest posts through FireFox and my news reader.

I imagine they haven't been included because the site is advertising-supported, but I would also like to see RSS feeds. I am sure I would still visit, even having them, because they aren't as convenient for lots of browsing, just quick overview stuff. And a lot of the advertising support does come in from Vendor statuses I imagine, so that value isn't lost to the advertisers.

Anyway, I'm just posting my support of it... I think it would be nice to have too.

I'll look into setting this up through vBulletin's CP.

Should be setup now. To use this feature you must visit the following url:

Code:
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/external.php?=rss
You can also filter by forums. For example:

Code:
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/external.php?=rss&forumids=A,B,C
Where each letter (A,B,C, and so on) can reference a different forum id.

To find the forum id for the particular forums that you visit, just go to the forum of choice. Once there check the url in your browser. Below is an example using the url for the Evo General forum:

Code:
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=11
The section of the url containing the forum id is highlighted in bold. You will need to take the number in the bold section and apply it to the RSS url. For Evo General, this url would look like so:

Code:
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/external.php?=rss&forumids=11

Any chance of adding a the first 5 lines of original post body or similar? I found that often the subjects people choose are not very indicitve of the actual content inside...

Other than that, this works great!

Thanks.
