Advanced Turbo/drivetrain Forum??? please vote...

I'm posting this in here to get more people to see it.

I'm thinking that it may be a good idea to break up the turbo/drivetrain forum into 2 different sub forums. I just remember it being so much easier to read things of interest on dsmtuners.com when there as 2 forums.

one forum was about exhausts, intakes, basic motor questions etc...

and the other was about strokers, custom turbo setups, twin charged setups, custom applications. I'd like to see something like that.

Because i go into turbo drivetrain forum to see what crazy stuff people are doing and to get ideas for myself and i see things like "turbo/superchared evo" in the same forum as "what does your car idle it?" and "what exhaust sounds good?" And I know alot of threads like that can be solved by people searching and posting in the newbie forum but the newbie forum does not get the traffic turbo/drivetrain does and people just either dont know how to search or dont want to. I'd really like to see this happen, anyone else is welcome to chime in. Thanks

-Steve

I second Steve-O's nomination.

There's a lot of good info out here, but there's also a ton of crap.

hopefully the mdos will see this and consider it as a serious option. I think it would be good for both kinds of people:

advanced evo owners would not have to weed through simple questions and posts to look for things they are interested in.

Newbie evo owners would be able to find things they are interested in quicker, such as exhaust, bov, intake questions.

The turbo/drivetrain forum has alot of people posting in it so often that threads can be off the first page within an hour or 2. i think its a good idea.

+12345, This would make it so much easier to look through specific items and not have good threads get so easily lost.....

Voted yes. There is a DSM forum (forgot name) that has sections like that with strict rules, and it is always a interesting to read that section when I run across it.

The split will save people some time wading through what intake, what exhaust, what cam, what turbo, what company, questions.

Excellent idea, this forum gets pretty cluttered.

There needs to be constant moderator watch though, as the advanced forum will become jsut as cluttered with crap right away. What is basic day 1 info to you and I, is "advanced info" to a beginner. Someone needs to be on call pretty much 24/7 kicking threads into the beginner forum.
