no, the mods were orig selected by the person who started the site, and from then on those mods select more mods as needed, that way the person who owns the site still remains in control, because after all, it is their site, not ours.

or at least thats how it usually works, i dont really know the details of this forum specifically though.

not so true we are a community of people and with out us this would be just a site and nothing more. That is why you always see this.
Active Users: 773 (298 members and 475 guests.) we make up this site so why should we have no say in who is running it.

its just the way it is.

i mean if there is a mod you have a real problem with, and you complain to the admin, something will be done. if there are enough complaints, then most likely the mod will have his position taken away. but as far as "voting" people into mod positions, it doesnt work that way

On the matter of choosing / selecting the mods? No you don't. However if something does come open it always helps that the mods know you (in a good way.) Maybe chat with some in the Off topic forum or report bad posts (it shows who reported it, and hopefully you will fill out why you are reporting it)

I really enjoy the site and the people on it. I have never had any Problems with anyone. I think it is good to hear what people say maybe it can benefit the site. Not all has to be taken as stone but some Constructive criticism never hurt anyone. That is all I will say on the matter.

Who said anythng about this being a Democracy?

1. This is a privately run owned and operated site.

Therefore, the owner is free to pick and chose who he wants to run , who he will allow to be a member of, who he will allow to advertise on, and what rules wil be enforced herein.

If you disagree, I bid you good day and hope you enjoy your experience on another privately owned and operated site.

To go on waht crypto stated... he is correct. We have had members complain about other modeators before (shocker), and we have removed moderators from thier position on the site.

There is no vote.
This is pure dictatorship, in its finest capitalist form

We always find you when you try to return. Maybe not right away, but we do .

And, its not like we ENJOY banning people. We really don't. But, there are times when its the only remaining course of action.
