Since this is the feedback section i feel this appropriately belongs here.

I have been observing for quite a while now many things going on that i feel are strange and sometimes unacceptable.

Threads disappearing, people getting banned, posts being censored, and no one answering questions as to why this is happening.

I have never had a problem with this place but i am genuinely getting tired of the these things happening, and i am sure i am not alone. I understand that we don't pay to use this site thus have basically no rights here, but us members are what generate revenue for this site by giving vendors a reason to pay for advertising. I feel that we should start getting answers for what is going on because the evom community should stop getting reasons to think that this site is turning into a police state.

Specific concerns can be addressed to a Staff member. I'm not sure what answers you think you're entitled to in whatever case(s) you're questioning.

Fair enough. As I said, I'd be happy to address any specific issues via PM, but before I get a flood of PM's please be advised that I will not discuss:

Why or if somebody got banned/points. If somebody got banned, it is ALWAYS for violations of site rules. Period. If somebody got points, that's their business and not the forums business; I will not discuss it.

And this is not a "police state". This is a privately owned website with a set of rules members agree to abide by when they join. We hold everybody to the same standards, enforcement is easier that way not to mention fair for all.

I will only bother a mod if it involves me or i feel i should get involved, because i kno that you guys do deal with a lot of crap via pm. this was just to give my opinion to the public.

 

I've been a frequent contributor here for 4 years. This has definitely gotten worse, noticeably worse, over the past 1-2 years. Every single person that I know in my personal life who is a regular on EVOM thinks so too. Not just some - EVERY SINGLE ONE. Maybe me and my friends are all just a bunch of "koombaya singing, free love, peace to all" weirdos, but I don't think so.

I really hope that when these types of feelings are brought up the EVOM staff really takes them into consideration rather than deleting them. These are real issues that real members here are having. Even though we don't make a penny off it, I bet you that the average member wants this site to succeed as much as the owner.

You're posting generalities with no specifics. I've already told the forum to PM me with specific problems, but NOBODY has. You talk of "real issues" and "things have gotten worse" but I have no CONCRETE issues to review!! How can we possibly respond to "real issues" if you don't PM us to let them know what they are?

It IS a private forum guys... if we don't like what's going on, we can only make intelligent, well thought out requests and hope that the governing powers see things the same way (that's not necessarily the lowly Mods either). Remember that rules are rules and whether we agree or not, we have to play by the rules, or leave the yard.

I hope you've noticed my continual use of "we". I'm an enthusiast first, and a mod/part time vendor a distant 2nd. However, I DONT always agree, but this is NOT my own personal web site. Therefore, I accept the fact that I'll not always "like" everything that goes on. If I didn't enjoy the site, I wouldn't stay. So until that time, I'll tuff out the things that I believe are wrong. Give my say when I feel I must, and NEVER lose my integrity in the process.

So post your thoughts and objections guys, but keep it civil. AWAYS keep your integrity and personal pride.
