Valuable Thread Moderation vs Deletion
I have no problem with you re-posting the data minus the BS. Please realize if it turns into a crap shoot again the thread will be cleaned and closed. The info will still remain available but we aren't going to clean up a thread on a regular basis if nothing positive is to come of it.
Man you have a lot to say. You should post more regularly, its hard to respond to all of that! I'll try. Here's the thing--context. Plain and simple. Buschur claimed there were no real gains to be had from more extensive porting of the exhaust manifold, and that MAP couldn't do it. The MAP thread wasn't posted in a childish way, it was posted in the vein of 'you said we couldn't do it but we did, and it worked!' There's a lot of way you could have read that first post I guess, this is the Internet after all.
People *****ed endlessly about how the test was performed, from every possible angle, but more context: it's a single set of data. As stated, I too have a scientific background, but I've been part of this community for long enough that I knew this was going to come across as a bit rough, so had to be sure to give credit where credit was due: Buschur Racing. Furthermore, MAP has proven themselves to me as well and the test was done at their facility. An individual performing this test is nearly impossible, and we all know it.
More context: this is a single set of data. It was presented as best we could. Dynojets and others are great tuning tools, but they're don't have a ton of scientific features that would be awesome: power averaging. Average 5 runs together and plot versus the average of another 5 runs. All things equal, this would really show the trend in power gains. Here's the simple fact: I posted the hypothesis I arrived at after performing the test myself. I then encouraged others to repeat the test and post their own hypotheses, simple as that.
I feel like I made all of these points in the original thread, and frankly they're all kind of beside the point. I think it would be awesome if that thread (and others) were re-opened, possibly archived, and we can all move on. Delete all of the BS posts in it, deal with the backlashing. If nothing else, keep the data available to the public. Let people make their own interpretations.
I'm not sure what else to say, frankly I'm just tired of going and looking for certain threads to answer someone else's question and just coming up with empty results. This is a big site, there have been some growing pains, but I think some lessons need to be learned by both the moderating team as well as the members. As you can see there are plenty of 'dirt kickers' jumping in this thread too, I think its important to look past the flying dirt.

Where there is power there is abuse. This my friends is a known fact. I posted a thread in this section with a poll about 1 month ago. It asked the simple questions if we as a community felt that this forum was:
1. Under-moderated! The mods do a great job keeping order.
2. Over-moderated! Let the people speak their minds.
So what happens in the first 5 minutes of posting it? One of the Mods or someone with access to the editing portions of the forum STACKED the poll with 100 votes for option #1.
All I wanted to do was see how the people felt and the Mods could try and make the people, the enthusiast network happier with their wielding of the gavel.
This is a true story

I definitely think you should. And encourage anyone else who has the means and facilities to re-do the test if they think it's bogus.
