Just caught another one in the Evo Suspension/Brake section.

Post had NO RELEVANCE to the thread at all.

At least try and make it look legit.

I voted yes.. however you do have to keep in mind many folks don't use the forum for anything but the local threads.. and those don't count posts.. (like myself) .. So I dunno, it can go either way. I have thousands of posts but my post count is under 200..

No to 100, I have been a member since 2005, maybe 70 post total .I like to read and learn, and not just post things for the sake of numbers.

I vote 100.. I agree many come to just read and not bother but I beleive it should work both ways.. you take a little you give a little.. even if its a few sentences commenting on a new mod or a guys new setup or something.. Its not hard at all. With the thousands of threads and millions of posts here I find it hard to think guys cant find anything to say.

wether the post count is 50 or 100 or even 200 someone who is just here to scam us will just take that little extra time to post ***** to get to (x) # of posts to do so. if you do raise it at least let the posts in regional forums count towards the count since that is where the majority of us post anyway. another idea could be making it a time based thing for posting in the for sale threads to stop people from spamming to scam us, something like after 3 months if you have 50 posts or more you can post in the FS threads or after being a member for at least 6 months

I was in this position when I first joined and bought my evo which I quickly started to sell parts. Yet I couldn't until I had to make about 50 B.S. posts just to be able to sell. I don't think 100 is needed. It has become much safer than it used to be purchasing things online. Paypal does have protection (although I agree it sucks). I prefer to purchase from locals, this way if I am scammed, I can go ahead and give them a personal beatdown. Just my humble opinion.

I am new, but have been reading since I joined. I find that this is true and 50 is quite hard to get if you're not posting for the sake of whoring. Like many have said, posting information that is new or relevant is even harder. <-- For this many posting in a question thread say things like "USE THE SEARCH button." This is an unacceptable answer, only because this is a community, right? I understand people are lazy but a post like that, brings up there post count, while giving someone a big FU.

Really just leave it, or if scams has become a huge issue then don't buy from unreliable sources... stay with the vouch system.

I do not see the 100 rule helping any. If someone is motivated they will just post a bunch to be able to sale stuff. I have bought some stuff on here just buy send them a pm. with 100 it would be 2-3 more years before i could evpost in a sell thread.

I dont think it should be post counts.. That can be done quickly.. I think it should be based on Time registered and Post count combined.. That would deter many would be scammers if they ahd to be a member for 90 days and 100 posts..

On Supraforums you can only post stock parts for sale @ 100 and aftermarket after 200 or you must be a member for 2.5 years to be exempt from both..

So either you contribute to the community or sale you stuff on Ebay..

I just got to 50 and I already made a purchase. Obviously thats different than selling, but lets not let a few bad eggs spoil it for the rest of us. Not worried though, I will be a 100 soon enough
