If you change the posts to 100 does that mean that the ones who just got the 50 posts will lose our posting abiliities?
We're not looking to change the post count at this moment.

EDIT: I just asked you nicely the other day to please, please don't post ***** to get to 50 so you can get access to the marketplace...and you did it anyway???

And since for the most part if someone posts a question that's already been answered they get jumped on (not debating that because searching is good, but it just means that there is 1 more possible post taken away), where is the chance for those members to get 100 posts aside from the 'filler' posts...

So you're asking people to gain experience before they post in the FS threads, but aren't encouraging them to post up questions as they try and get that experience...

I don't really care since I'm about at the 100 marker anyways, but it just seems a bit off to me...
+1 a lot of ppl have been members for a long time but have a low post count due to these reasons and moving the post count up to 100 would just make ppl start post whoring so they can sell some things they might have

I had to do this as well when I first joined, and I didn't turn out so bad did I? So really, the 50 count post limit doesn't really separate the bad people from the good people ALL the time. It's just something that helps. I had to post ***** just so I can sell some of the parts off my evo when I purchased it, so I could afford the new parts.

I can't even believe this is being considered. Most forums I've been on it's like 10 or 20, I thought 50 was rediculous. I use this site for info, I don't do a lot of posting but I think we might run off good members by changing this. Why not a vote to change it to 25 or something?

It doesn't matter if a person has 1000 post or 20 people scam others, you can't stop it, but to ban them when it happens. It sucks that something like this has to be reactive, but it is. The best thing to do is look at peoples sales rating. If they have 0 then don't buy from them. if you get screwd over it's part of the game. i've been fortunate i guess.

I just went back in the section Question about Post # not going up and you never said anything to me about post whoring. So I am thinking your mistaken about who you said that to.
Though I don't think telling someone they have a sweet ride or something you like about their car should be considered post whoring. I was being honest in the posts as someone who doesn't know much about cars saying that I liked their cars without coming off as stupid because of my limited knowledge.

Maybe this thread will refresh your memory : https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...ml#post8012507

And, I'm not going to argue with you about this. You were post whoring and even admitted as much. We ask that all members follow the rules...whether you agree with the rules or not.

I've been a member since 2008 and only have 9 posts that count toward my total. I don't know exactly how often I log on, but sometimes it's a couple of times a day. I try to use the search tool to look for information that I need and not ask questions that have already been answered multiple times, and I don't post comments that bash other people's rides. I could probably get my 50 posts if I wanted to waste bandwidth.

I've bought from evom vendors as well as private sellers by using the pm function, but I can't sell. (no sneaking in FS here - thanks) I'm wondering if there have been a lot of reports of people getting ripped off lately that would cause this to even be considered.

I don't think number of posts should have anything to do with being alowed to sell something on this forum. What I would much rather see is proof that the product actually exists much like another evo forum (which shall remain nameless) where they require a photo of the product with your login name and date. If you prove to me you actaully have the product then i could care less how many times you have written awesome, agree, nice car.

It doesn't matter if you have been on the forum for 10 years.
If you don't contribute you cant sell.

Why is it a big deal? I understand about scamming but that's the risk you take when buying anything used. Raising the post count just adds more useless info to the site because you are going to constantly have people saying +1 or making useless posts that clog up threads.

From: somewhere testing various tires, brakes, and suspensions.
I will reiterate this again.

At this time we will NOT be changing the required post count.
