thread deleted?
my thread was deleted pertaining to what kind of evo ix do evom members have...the thread was on topic and over 40 votes. I understand Mods have the authority to exercise their "right" to delete off-topic or repeat threads, but they don't have to do it for the sake of doing it. the thread was no different in concept than the evom members age question.
thanks

Thread is too close to this thread:

SE and SSL are just trim options. The car is still a GSR or MR.

3667 - Evolution IX (includes SE editions)

they are similar yet different. the thread you posted doesn't take into account evom members. i was curious to see what evom members have not what was shipped to the us. also, the deleted thread is broken down into more options, 5 instead of 3

What is the point of the thread? You are just going to get the people that look at the thread. The other threads information is much more valid and useful. And again, a GSR w/ or w/o SSL is still a GSR (or SE for that matter).
what is the point of the "age of evom" thread?
here, the thread was going to give us an idea of what trim evom members drive. what makes a thread have merit not to be deleted? the amount of people that show interest? number of votes? plenty of people showed there enthusiasm in the thread and even mentioned it.
this thread wasnt a contradiction to the "production numbers" thread. i never said that it wasnt valid or useful. two different threads.
Is there a certain quota of closed thread a mod needs to meet? i dont get why this thread bothered someone so much to compell them to close it. its more of the principle of its now

mr turco, should we close all threads that we think people aren't going to post?
now, are we predicting which threads people are going to post and if the mods subjectively believe the thread is not going to have a lot of posts, they delete it?

Step off the ledge for a second. Don't take it so personally. One of the moderators saw it as a repeat thread, which i agree with, so it was removed.
one pertains to evom members specifically and the other does not. one is broken up into 5 trims and one is only 3. similar, yes, but far from a repeat; as they both focus on different things.
well atleast you met your quota
well atleast you met your quota
mr. turco, im not taking it personally at all. i really don't mind, i think the info would have been interesting. it is the principle of it, like i stated earlier. I and other members thought it was an intersting topic and somone one on a power trip deleted it for the sake of deleting it.
I'm quite sure that you are aware that OT has its own set of guidelines? If not, stop by and feel free to read them.

It is a forum just like all the rest. Stop making it out to be something more then it is. Off topic falls under the evom rules that we all have to agree to when joining.
Nowhere in the forum rules do I see anything related to off topic and how rules apply or do not apply there. Can I be a racist elitist *** and dodge the swear filter and insult everyone to no end based on religion and ethnicity? My guess is, no, I can not because of the rules.
But it is ok to post the same tired crap over and over there, because a mod does it.
Gotchya.
