I for one can vouch for Al, his product made my car outperform many cars on the road/track. In my opinion he provides a very valuable service that no EVO owners should be denied of.
I vote give him a second chance.

Come on, that's one hell of a reach. Find one single person that Al's cheated with his Dynoflash before you tar him as a crook.
My Dynoflash works great and so do the rest of the reflashes he did in Atlanta. I've never heard anybody come up with a valid claim that Al cheated them. He offers 100% money back guarantee, no questions asked. And nobody has ever asked for it or if they did, did not receive it.
If's fine if you don't like Al, or even if you hate his guts, but don'r slander him. It's just not fair.

I think most people who add onto these threads are posting without substantial knowledge and history regarding Al. I, for one, do not know and have not read enough threads to come to a good, solid, and valid conclusion.

KK, the moderator, probably knows it all. And for him to shut out someone like that, can you imagine what DID happen? Cutting off someone is pretty much the last resort option.

Bring him back. I read all of that long arguement and while i dont know AL personally nor do i know Shiv. I recall a day when many DSMers (probably north east) came on here to bash Shiv for lying about his dyno numbers (which could have been corrected by turning a knob) etc. I also believe that his "stock" motor, was actually a 5,000 dollar built motor.

Funny the things people leave out and are lead to believe when its from someone they trust.

Well, I'm sure that KK knows some things that others do not, but it should not be very hard to do a search and read various threads where Al & his detractors trade barbs, cyberpunches and even outright insults.
As for KKs reasons, nobody but him will know for sure, but he is not likely an impartial person as he has Shivs products in his car and one can surmise that he also has some sort of amicable relationship with Shiv (who would be really dumb not to treat KK at least as well as his most favorite client or friend).
So you see, it's not such a simple thing to assume that Al is the scum of the earth and well deserving of outright banishment. On the other hand, anyone reading these threads with any attention would see that Al could seriously **** off Shiv and a number of other ppl as well........ The whole thing up to the banishment could easily be part and parcel of the whole controversy

Al knows alot about these cars. He should be able to come back. Every one has a right to free speech on a great product.

I think Dynoflash should be reinstated because to remove him will hurt not only him, but his current and future customers. For guys living in the Northeast, the Dynoflash is a very convenient mod. Since, this region has a huge number of EVO owners (in addition to the guys wanting to do the mail in Dynoflash), the loss of readily available information will only hurt them and as a result do a disservice to a significant portion of the EVO community. I think some of the conditions stated previously are more than a fair compromise and should be accepted.

It is true this is a privately owned site, but then again a board is only as good as the members that are on it.

revhappy, please post under the discussion about the Dynoflash ban. I think this was intended to just be a poll.

I consider myself pretty impartial toward Shiv or Al... I have a Near stock 2002 OZ Lancer and do not benefit from either vendor's products or services nor have I contacted or communicated with either vendor. To be honest with you all, I haven't been following the whole Al Vs. Shiv issue very closely, but I have the gist of it. It seems to me that both vendors are at to blame for the cross-flaming and bashing. Along-side each vendor are "minions" who assist in the mudslinging and egg each other on to keep fighting. I stand behind Mark's decision of disabling DynoFlash's account because Al seems to be the insinuating those counter-productive posts into Shiv's threads. I will be watching threads relating to either vendor closely and will issue warnings where they are needed. I am sick and tired of all those Al Vs. Shiv threads and this constant flamewar back and forth. I believe I speak for all the evolutionm staff and members when I say this big issue has got to stop. All I ask of all of you guys... including you Al (using your personal account) is to follow the golden rule:

The real issue here is that there is an "ADULT" that acts like a child with his remarks and posts more often, and with greater animosity than any other member here. Despite his knowledge, often times his comments are so rude, that an entire thread can get deralied. I think for the sake of consistency, he should be banned. In addition, the Mods need to step up to the plate and lay the law down so that threads don't get out of control. To be fair, the Mods have a small responsibility for this issue even being brought up.

Do you think its appropriate to keep calling the obvious "minions" a derogatory put down? Do you think it might have an inticing affect? didnt I read this thread elswere?

The meaning of minion is as follows:

min·ion ( P ) Pronunciation Key (mnyn)
n.
An obsequious follower or dependent; a sycophant.
A subordinate official.
One who is highly esteemed or favored; a darling.

Nowhere in there does it say anything offensive about the "followers". And yes you did read this elsewhere... in the other "We need to unban Al" thread. In my opinion they should all be merged.
