Now back to the subject, there is no use in arguing about one word...

I still stand by my previous statement.

 

I have delt with both of these businesses. Accessories only... no products that either vendor has developed themselves... Al's parts showed up on time and work. Vishnu promoted stuff had a 100% failure rate and I had to troll post Shiv on his forum to remind them I was still waiting for my stuff 6 + weeks later (Shiv knew nothing of my problems and to his credit handled a pissed off customer very rapidly and professionaly) and got his employees of the dime. They called me and gave me a status report. But I'm still waiting... (posted Shiv Christmas day and I know it's the holidays) the stuff is in customs response is just getting too old. Sounds kind of like "the stuff is in the mail" get off my back excuse. Vishnu's stuff may be great. But I as a user would like to have the choice. banning any vender is bad for the community. It' the internet...... flame away.... and let the people make their decisions on their own. Cheating someone out of their $ or breaking motors cause you can't do as you promise should be the only reason anyon gets banned.... and at this point in my relationship with both venders who do you think I feel cheated by???

I belive he should be brought back. But along with him and any others that flame each other should be told if they do not obey the rules of this site they should also be banned including non-vendors. It seems some just come right back under another screen name. It is not fair to punish one and not the others when they also have shown disregard to the rules of this site.

I think Al and other vendors and members have alot of knowledge we all can learn from. This is the #1 reason I come on this site to talk about and learn about my Evo, not to read a bunch of mine is better than yours banter. I for one am sick of attacks on peoples views by a select few (you know who you are). Bottom line if you disagree due it in a mature fashion. And if you dont by all means Ban them it will save me alot of time going thru meaningless arguing.

Kevin what are you talking about? I can vouch for Al he stands above and beyond his word. I was involved in an accident with my Evo and no it was not my fault. Al had custom Dynoflashed my Evo only a week before the accident. So I called him up to tell him what had happened and that I planned on getting another Evo. He said let him know when I get another Evo and he would re-flash my new Evo for Free!!! Thats right I said Free. Can you get better customer service than that I cannot think of any other vendor who would provide such a service can you?

Al has the ONLY performance mod I've had any type of interest in. The EVO is such a high-strung car that any time you make even a small modification to it, the mod is rarely worth it unless you tune to compensate. What better way to do it than on a dyno?!? Better yet, why not get the most bang for your buck mod-wise AND get to keep your warranty! Dynoflash will do this for you. If you've already modded, Dynoflash will ensure that you get the most bang for the buck with your existing mods.

Maybe it's just me, but buying a bunch of bolt on stuff and then buying more stuff to tune for the stuff you just bought is not money well spent in my opinion. You also will limit yourself in how efficiently and optimally you can tune your mods.

Why not let the most accurate tools find the safest and best tune starting at the beginning of where your performance comes from? Dynoflash starts at the FOUNDATION of the drive train and works outward. Wow!!! Suddenly all of your 'stuff' is working together in harmony. What a concept! It doesn't take a genius to realize that this is a really f**king good idea.

I have yet to see anything bad come out of Al's re-flashes, and I have yet to see him do anything that I would consider out of line which would warrant him being banned. Bear in mind I am not fully educated on ALL of the facts (there's a lot to read), but I have been browsing the forums enough to get a feel for Al and his product. I am impressed that he has actually defended himself and his product -- that right there deserves respect. I don't see any situations where his product deserved to be bashed, and he backed it up when needed.

As for Shiv? I'll admit I don't know a lot about him -- he is a bit of a shady character to me. I will say, however, that from him I am seeing a lot more of this <picture me making hand-puppet talking-gesture with my hand> and not enough of this <now picture me making steering and shifting motions as I sit in my computer chair>.

I sense a bit of favoritism here and I don't like it one bit.

he is getting more thread space and front page promotion on this site than ever before....this is the best use of a bad situation Ive seen yet on any of these forums...and suddenly a newbie is starting threads comparing the different ecu solutions ahahahah...anbd there is al chiming in getting free plugs...the only difference between now and then...now he doesnt pay evom...and now he gets a hell of a lot more promo....and there are alot more newbies than I ever saw before...all who participate and start threads...interesting

 

why is this so hard for people to understand? AL has gotten HIMSELF banned, not because of selling crappy products, not because of lame customer service, not because of ANYTHING TO DO WITH HIS BUSINESS.

he has gotten himself banned because of his personal CONDUCT on this very board. nothing more, nothing less.

for god's sake, he has ADMITTED, many times, that he intentionally picks fights and instigates confrontation in the form of his online "persona" for fun and to bring attention to himself. by the time this crap with him pimping his crap under other screen names, came up, well, i can imagine how that was taken by kk and the others.

THIS is exactly what the problem is, his OWN conduct and attitude here. NOT his product or his business. THAT is why he has been warned repeatedly, and, eventually, why the mods have simply had enough. we're all supposed to be adults here, but al's "minions", at his urging, of course, keep demanding that he just needs his own personal forum, and that someone should have to babytsit him at all times. what a joke.

the obligation of the people who run this board is to the COMMUNITY as a whole, not to some loudmouth who plays you all for chumps, and makes our boards his personal ****house. i find it interesting that so many of those who cry for him now admit that they have no knowledge of his history, with him pulling the SAME CRAP on NASIOC for the last couple years.

that's the beauty of the internet, i guess. nobody seems to feel the need to let their own ignorance stop stop from spouting their opinions....

and yes, "minions" is an appropriate description, in my mind, for all of us. look at this crap. we have al to thank for the ridiculous polarizing of this board into the pathetic, schoolyard namecalling, fingerpointing mess that it is right now. even now, while being punished to the best of the site's ability, he attempts to stir up **** from his "minions" to get his status back. and of course, they are oh so happy to oblige....


here's a little clue for all of you:

it's very easy for him to set up his OWN company BBS to support his customers. all of his whining and begging for mercy is just a con, he hasn't lost the ability to post here, and he won't lose his business without his dynoflash status back. it's just a power play, like any seven year old plays to see if his parents have the nerve to actually carry out their punishments. one guess how most of the pantywaists in this society fare at that test....

he's playing this site for the bunch of chumps we are for letting this drag out so long. NASIOC doesn't miss him or his BS, and neither will any of you after you get out of the house for awhile, get outside.

I think Shiv is as much at fault as Al. I think they both should be put in a time out for a while.

I do find it interesting that Shiv hasn't gotten any punishment for his part in these flame wars. Shiv also puts more $$ in KK's pocket. Coincidence? Maybe, maybe not.

 

Like I said, I have yet to see it. I'm still looking though -- there is a LOT to read through.

All other things aside, this is still the only performance MOD that has my attention.

Actually - as I posted above and have asked KK many times in emails - ALL I want back is my Private Messages which I was never afforded and opportunity to review - - and the ability to recieve and respond to private messages in the future - - I agree to never again post on this web site - IF I could have back my PM's

I think I am being more than responsable with my request and expectations - especially in light of the results of the POLL which clearly show the members in favor of my reinstatment and giving me another chance

I accpeted responsability for my actions and appolgized - I also promised not to do the same in the future

In any event - I just want access to my PM's - is that too much to ask ?
