Good god, this thread is like a fly trap for people trying to get around the requirement.

 

This thread needs to be burnt at the stake and a new rule introduced: No complaints about the rules and Andy is the best.

 

I do not have any particular problem with the thread as it contains many good comments and I enjoy reading them. This forum is for the community to candidly express their ideas and opinions concerning Evom rules and practices. I do wonder how many contributors know posts in this forum do not count toward post count?

I understand the whole spam thing you guys are worried about but there has to be a better way. I'm gonna reply to this 14 more times and come back in 2 weeks.

Let's see how that works out for you. This is a forum for enthusiasts who want to contribute, not craigslist. If you had read the prior posts, the requirement is in place to protect our members. Many were upset when the requirement went down from 50 to 15. Breaking our rules isn't the best way to show you want to be a contributing member of our community.

 

I dont get what the big deal is i believe viewing is still allowed and you can always pm the member

 

 

True, but more than once an important piece of information had been left out by the seller such as # of owners or mileage on the chassis/title. A postasking for that information would likely save the seller from having to answer multiple messages w the same question.

I have been a memeber for a year or two now and still have not accumulated 15 posts. I have bought plenty of stuff on this site. The website is an excellent resource for information and knowledge. If you want to get your post count up contribute to the website.

I mean sure i get frustrated when i cannot post comments or questions in certain threads but trust me the 15 post count keeps this site free of spammers and a bunch of different crap.

The rule is there for all members benefit. Not worth sacrificing the majority's enjoyment to satisfy the minority.
