I think the minimum 15 posts rule for posting FS items should be modified.
If someone is going to scam, they will find a way. Putting some kind of limitation isn't going to stop it.
Mods and fellow members, I'm sure you already know this but making contact with the seller's past buyers/sellers (thru iTrader) and gauging those conversations, along with your best judgement might be your best defense. It's a shame because I'm sure this community has the best intentions and it's always the "bad apples" that puts the "honest" people at risk.
If the policy does change, I will support it. Whether its a 50post/30day increase, paid subscription fee, OR some kind of authentication with your login/buying/selling privileges.

I agree but for us guys like me that just joined it kinda sucks if it does go more cause I'm not online much but I mod every month buying and selling and I would like to sell stuff but waiting longer than 30 days kinda sucks but it is what it is
I think the post count is kind of low honestly, yes it sucks for those who might not get on much but it doesnt take much to get on and make a few meaningful posts a week or so.
I am on forums that have to have 100 posts and 30 days before selling.
Yes a scammer will find there way but at least you can look back at the context of there posts before doing business with them and get some kind of history/background of the person.

i don't really see how the post count even matters, i see poeple just bumping old threads with something like "sweet ride bro" 15 times in a row to meet the quota... so if someone wants to sell something or scam someone, 15 posts (or 50 as it was before) isn't gonna stop them...
I don't think post count is the best way to judge things for reasons posted above. I don't have the posts but I also don't think getting to the minimum is very hard to do.
On one forum I'm a part of it is a 3 month minimum to start a thread, but anybody can respond in the thread. It works really well, but every forum is different in terms of size and traffic.

^ I agree with you but at the same time I disagree. Some people like in my case are on the hunt for their next vehicle and may not have a lot of knowledge regarding EVO's or any car for that matter, I do not like to ask dumb questions like "which is the best turbo out there?" and then get flamed for not using the search tool, so I steer away from posting anything that may seem dumb to others. So my posts are alot of the "nice ride" posts until I do enough self research and learn the ins and outs of the car!
These rules are not that bad. The forum in Australia, evolutionoz.net requires you to state your drivers license number, which is the reason I wouldn't join, but in all honesty it probably stops nearly all scammers.
I think it should be higher myself.
Supraforums is like 150 posts and 90 days if I remember correctly.
Suck it up. You can still view the boards. Just can't post. Won't stop you from buying though.
