pics in signature

Something small like what rexhunta has:

That should be the maximum size allowed.
As for what is considered a legitimate evo car club, that would ultimately have to be decided by KK.

In regards to recognized clubs I did mean to imply that Mark would determine what is legitimate and what is not, but I think there could easily be conflict in the cases of unrecognized clubs trying to get recognition. (I don't want to read 10 threads on "why isn't my club recognized?" in site feedback and suggestions.
) But quite frankly I don't know if Mark has the time to keep up with who can and cannot have sig pics. If he were to allow them the easiest way to do so would be given them to everyone or no one. Second easiest (which is how it is presently) would be to allow certain user levels (moderators, super moderators and administrators) to have the option available. The way you're proposing would require either a separate user level for recognized car club members (meaning maintenance of up-to-date rosters from each club) or for Mark to individually specify permissions to potentially hundreds of individual users. I'm not sure if that's feasible.Of course if you have any other possible solutions they'd certainly help your case. I'm personally not opposed to letting members have size-limited signature pictures, HOWEVER I think it comes down to logistics for the staff (specifically for KK) and also again to my sympathy for dialup users (whom I secretly laugh at for not having broadband.
)
I would go against it. If you ever visit a board with any type of picture larger than Pete's, it becomes to hard to read. You start trying to figure out if the picture at the bottom of one post relates to the next post and when they do post a picture, you have no idea who it goes with.
I would say NO (
) for pictures in sigs.
I would say NO (
I don't think it's a great idea. Going to other forums can be overwhelming, it becomes difficult to distinguish between what's part of a thread's content, and what's just someone's signature. If they were to be allowed, though, I would hope for some sort of option to not view/load people's sig pics.

I absolutely hate looking at sites where everyone has a huge pic in their sig. When people sigs become larger than the text they post, things are getting silly.
And policing the content of those sigs would be nightmarish, I'd think.
Maybe if Mark had a subscription service on this site where you paid to get email, webspace, sig pics....etc...then it might be worth it because only a fraction of people would be able to do sig pics.

I think this is the only solution that sounds reasonable:

True that. I don't know if that's in our near future, or our future at all for that matter, but that certainly seems a reasonable solution. Of course with the income from even a relatively small base of members there would be additional money for hosting/servers etc. which would alleviate the problem of server side stresses.
