I truly hope you don't need to really ask this question, and just for you. I will use your favorite smiley!

i agree 100% with this thread. instead of being a place for people to learn we became a boxing ring for vendors and their muppets. this has got to stop but i am happy to inform you all that a solution is being worked on as we speak

We have disabled the accounts of several cronic groupies. Those are the members who hammered away at each other, members and vendors, thread after thread and post after post. And there are going to be others. To those who took the time to offer feedback here, thank you for your very thoughtful suggestions.

To those who took the opportunity to drag yet another thread off topic and down the drain... thanks for demonstrating the problem and re-inforcing our recommendations concerning site changes.

For reference, feel free to view this thread. http://www.socalevo.net/forums/viewt...er=asc&start=0

I find it ironic that the same SoCalevo guys who are complaining on threads on their forum about all the bashing on Evom (and how they never come here anymore because of it), are the same people who are bashing away in this thread....

Guys, if this is the quality of posting you would be bringing to this site on a regular basis, it is better that you stay on the local club forum. We don't need more of the drama.

Now don't get me wrong or misconstrue what I said above. I love SoCalEvo.net also. It serves the great purpose of getting the local folks together. But you can't complain about the flaming on another forum if you are part of the problem.

We are doing what we can with the limited arsenal we have been given as Mods. It takes time to make order from a mess like this.

I totally agree w/ Secret Chimp. The members on that forum keep contradicting themselves all the time. I would hate to make a statement online such as "Why I'm done with EvoM" and then start making another thread to make themselves look like a fool. Here check it out:

Will all due respect Ralph, the only guys on that thread that posted in this thread are GT40 and drmosh. And they pretty much said the same thing they said in here.

Personally I love EvoM. If it wasnt for EvoM, there would be no SoCalEvo.net because this is where i started. EvoM is a HUGE resource for me. As of late I'm not able to find any new info, but I love going back and searching the old threads because it brings back memories. I've always been a huge contributor of this site until the last 6 months where socalevo and my business has become intensely busy that I barely post on either site. I'm the guy that took those spy photos of the blue evo long ago, i'm the guy that started the boycott, and more importantly, I think Mark (KK) is a great guy and we chat over email all the time. I have nothing against EvoM in any way. I think Ralph, Brian (fireball) are awesome guys and I consider them my friends. I understand that a site with over 20,000 members is going to be hard to moderate.....the sole problem with this site right now in my opinion is simply one word...Shiv. Shiv is every moderators nightmare...you cant moderate him. If you edit/delete posts he complains, if you dont act quick enough he complains. His mouth is so big it's a beacon coming out of the Vishnu Performance section. Even if people dont read that forum, they still know what's going on. That's Shiv. If he doesnt make the point, he'll make sure someone does.

I just want to clarify my stance. I like EvoM, I just think that Shiv puts this site in a predicatment cause he's so controversial. Al cleaned up his act a while ago and things were peaceful. Looks like someone wanted to fill his shoes...

I also want to bring out this post by Smogrunner. Tom, I like you. I think you're a cool guy...thanks for the beer at the last EOC event. But I think this has been overlooked. Mark (KK) is a friend of mine so i'm going to defend him. You're talking about how we hate EvoM, and you post in SoCalEvo suggesting that Mark (KK) is banking off this site like he shouldnt care if its a huge vendor warzone. Decide what point you want to make...whether it's trying to exemplify how SoCalEvo.net is irrational in not wanting to read EvoM (which is a lie...only a few members said that)....or if it's EvoM is a giant bank for Mark. You're starting to act like Shiv now, bouncing around in what you say. Again, I dont want to cause problems with you, I just wanted to call you out on this.

I started this thread for one reason: an appeal to do something to clean it up. I think my posts have been very consistant on both forums.

Regarding this site, Evolutionm.net has been a great source of info and I don't like to see it going down. Secret Chimp, I didn't post about shiv in the thread... till he tried to make a mockery of it and socalevo.net. Shiv seems intent on making everything about him.

Good luck in your efforts to fix things around here.

For there to be fire, you first need fuel and a spark. Regardless of whether you are the fuel or the spark, you are still 50% responsible for the ensuing flames. But I agree with what you and Rob are saying. In the future when you see those sorts of snide remarks, just report them...We'll delete. If I could moderate in this forum, they would be deleted already.

With all due respect- you missed the boat. You are basing an argument on your own misinterpretation of a post. Stand back look at the context of that whole thread and see if you come up with the same thing- you guys cannot read a single post and ignore the rest of the thread
