Evotexas - if you pick up the current issue of Turbo Magazine (January '05) you'll see a little article about the little racing bash I helped organize called the 1st Anuual Exedy Evo vs. Wrx SHootout

I am very proud of this event for several reasons - 1 - b/c it made the magazine and so did my car !

2 - b/c we are doing several more of these races next year

3 - b/c a whole load of cars showed up

and most importantly . . . . becuase 5 (FIVE) of the fastest 8 remaining Evos and the only ones to make it to the final heads up class were tuned by Dyno Flash - 2 with flashes - 2 with AEM and 1 that went 11.90 with Dyno Flash ecu and Pruven tuned UTEC.

and more importnatly as verified by the data in Turbo the winning car went 11.80 with the Dyno Flash (Paul Placido - STOCK TURBO had Dyno Flash for one year, daily driver) beating the loyal Turbo Tricks customer in the final who had a large turbo and a AEM

The part that makes me very proud is where my customer runs the 11.80 IN the final of a event that lasted all day and drives his car home afterwards

There are numerous other customers who have gone 11's on the stock turbo - including member F1motorsports who went 11.7 with our famous $199 through the mail flash - - (stock turbo but ported head)

Evotexas - its ONE thing to turn up your boost controller to the point of detonation and pulling timing on race fuel (a tough feat to accomplish I admit - but one that you apparantly were able to do according to your posts) its quite another to go fast at the track. All you have accomplished is to make personal insults, and make unfounded and unwarranted acusations. Those readers who take the time to read through all your attacks and insults will find that our product has a very excelent record of BOTH reliability and performance both in drag racing and in road racing events.

Please tell me HOW the DF car beat the TT car. Red light? Bad reaction? Broke? What?

BTW, don't throw your racing accomplishments (or lack thereof) around on me. I have been racing NHRA and IHRA longer than you have known what the NHRA is. I grew up racing karts competitively and now race NHRA and IHRA. I win at least 3 races a season and always finish Top 10 in my class (IHRA). I haven't run a lot of NHRA lately due to time. Anyways, HOW many races have you won? I have won 4 or 5 in the last 2 years and have been in about 9 final rounds. And is my car faster than your car? Oh yes. Very much so. Do not question my credibility. LOL, I can make cars run circles around you, Al. Evos are toys, not accomplishments, IMO. We are not talking about how well we can organize events, Al. We are talking about the quality of your work and your business ethic. Stop trying to change the subject, LOL!!

Anyways, along with all the other information you obviously skipped over, you also failed to answer my other question. Why do you always refer to yourself as we? A little schizo in there?

Maybe we should make up a plaque or a trophie for these accomplishments. Did someone say something about iraq ??? and hijacking threads ?

Last time I watched NHRA drag racing on TV (ESPN2) they decided to declare the winners by who crossed the line first - not by who made up the most creative excuses

Surely, we all can agree that the winner in drag racing is who crosses the line first ? AND more importantly in my case - WHO's car lasts long enough to reach the final!

Maybe the other car just felt like helping to promote Dyno Flash and threw the race ? Or maybe he just didnt want the $2,000 worth of prizes given away to the winner?

11.80 is fairly fast on a reflashed stock turbo car with a full sound system, 19" wheels and which is used as a daily driver

11.70 with a AEM and a larger turbo is not that impressive - IMHO

The main issue is that the winner was able to pull his act together in the heat of battle and pull off a decent time - thats what drag racing is about

My point in posting the race data was to respond to your obvious misdirected and erroneous observation that no Dyno Flashed cars had gone 11's on the stock turbo

I don't know why the other car lost - all I do know is that out of the 400 plus cars that showed up that day including my evo and the TT evo - it was my customer that won the race with a car that was still running at the end of the day

Last time I checked this thread was originally about a guy who wanted to arrange for me to come to Houston fo some tuning. It was Evotexas and crew who decided to turn it into a bashing fest on my tuning. At this point, I am just trying to counter the misleading and groundless claims being made by these individuals - clearly in the attempt to intefear with my businss and deter protential customers from using our services.

At some point, hopefully those reading will conclude that these individuals would prefer to make groundless and misleading accusations and insults than carry on an inteligent conversation dealing with facts and evidence.

The results of the Evo vs. WRX shootout are something you can not spin - it is what it is

 

Honestly - I am really confused - HOW high could your boost levels be on the stock turbo ? They only make so mcuh boost ?

Why would the car make less power with less boost ? That is not very likely

Maybe IF I turn down my boost to 2 psi on my race car I will make 800 whp ?

Did it ever occur to you that maybe, just maybe there is some minor issue with your car as I originally has suggested? Maybe an inaccurate boost gauge or a boost leak or some other minor issue? I would get that stuff checked out - it seems odd to me.

 

All I think you're confused about more than just some of my posts. This is getting really elementary. If it's the last word you need, then take it. Past this point, it's pretty pointless anyways. You're stretching a lot of things out. And BTW, the first person to cross the finish line in drag racing is not always the winner. In fact the first person to cross the finish line is the winner in less than 30% of circumstances. And before you go off on a tangent about that last sentence, notice I said "circumstances" not "of the time."

No it was his first time out with a 50 trim turbo, the car went 11.4 , i had said however the car went 11.7 on the STOCK TURBO on pump gas. To me that is impressive IMHO.
Last time i checked this thread was about me going to texas to tune some cars. Now i have to come on here every day and post to respond to your bull****. This is why they made you post in your own forum only. Should i have a mod edit this thread ???

At some point , maybe you will realize to pick and choose your battles more carefully, nobody really cares about you posting up your accomplishments in a thread about me tuning in texas. You will not win any battles here, and i dont appreciate you hijacking this thread.

I think it was your ardent supporters who hi-jacked the thread by attacking him and saying that it was some how improper for him to attempt to plan such a trip and also making insults and attacks about my tuning


I only came onto this thread to respond to the personal attacks and allegations being made about my tuning by your supporters

Notice - I have nothing bad to say about you or your services - I think you do a great job and commend you and your company very favorably. However, I can not sit by quietly as Evotexas and company attempt to smear me and insult my tuning in an unfair manner attempting to create a flash perception that my tuning is some how weak or underperforming when in reality just the opposite is true

Your flash is weak and underperforming by YOUR OWN WORDS on the basis of "safety." Don't deny it.

Look at the posts of people who go from Dynoflash to a TurboTrix tune. THEY ALL pick up power!!!! I can pull up MULTIPLES of threads showing this. Can you show me ONE thread where someone went from TT to Dynoflash and made power? How about one where someone just went from TT to Dynflash period? And Al, let's exclude evo8power and his f'd up situation of switching flashes and tunes 400 times and considering all TT did was fix driveability issues so he could make it to Pruven but that's a whole 'nother nasty can o worms.

How's that for a case study for ya?

This thread should be locked. I REALLY don't want the tuners to start at it. I think all valid points have been made by everyone and it will just be a basic pissing match from here. Actually, I am surprised it's gone this far....

No - Evotexas - not weak an underperforming - rather - PRUDENT and CONSERVATIVE AND SAFE

Here are some examples of TT tuned cars which were re-tuned by Dynoflash (I did not want to get into this but you have forced my hand with the statement "How about one where someone went from TT to Dyno Flash and made power?" - here are a few of them










NOTE - nothing worng with the Turbo Tricks tuning in any of those cases - Mark is an excelent tuner and he does a fine job.

I am posting these few examples just to show that there is no truth to Evotexas latest allegations

 

Actually I think you guys have a fairly loose grasp of reality and seem to have things a bit backwards

I was not even involved with this thread until this post by Evotexas which I believe was number 4 or so on the thread


I think ANY vendor is going to respond when people are making alleigations about his / her work

I take a lot of pride in what I do and I work hard to do the best I can - I can not sit by while people are making these kind of attacks against my product - obviously in an attmept to avance other tuners and interfear with members here who are trying to organize a dyno day

 

ALL i know is i have had them both(dynoflash twice)and last time mark did a mail in for me the turbotrix mail in built 38 more hp on the wheels than dynoflash and i gave AL two chance to correct it and it did not happen and when i sent my mail in to mark i did not have to listen to what i was donig wrong with my car like AL had told me so many times another thing is service after the sale dynoflash could never return my calls and when i did talk to him he was very negitive always so i chose another tuner that was mark and he has answered any questions i have had with a pleasant answer that i could live with me as being a very busy mitsu dealer i dont have alot of time for being mislead or told that everything i have done is junk or that its tuning is something i am doing and not his falt so my choice is TURBOTRIX hands down and as i said before i gave AL two chances.
