[Edited -Zeus-]

Take it easy. There are other reasons and if you took the time to talk with "them" you would understand their position. There is always more than one side to every story. You are wise enough to know that.

I'll confirm with Chris at EngineLogics today, and put down any type of deposit we need to reserve Jan. 20 (per Jestr's schedule) and possibly Jan. 19 if we have enough interest for a second day.
$350 for the tune plus about $140 for the dyno rental is about $500 per person. I think it would be a good idea to start trying to finalize the list, and separate the maybe's from the definite's. Saturday is going to be the prefered date, so I think those already on the list should have some sort of "preferred" status to reserve on Saturday. Maybe give those people until Dec. 15 to pay up and reserve their spot by paying Jestr (I'm assuming Jestr will want to paid in full before making airline reservations), and then open it up to others????? Just thinking out loud.
Slowcar, I'd be more than happy if you wanted to maintain the list and keep in touch with Jestr to find out who's paid. I'm not trying to take over, I just know how Chris (EngineLogics) is about trying to collect money from 10 different people, he'd rather just have one payment to worry about. I'll pay him, and figure out a way for all of you to pay me. I have no desire or intent to try and make a dime off of this, but I see the difficulty in paying $1400 (is that taxable?) for the dyno and then trying to split that 10 ways evenly, even though some cars take longer and should pay more than 1/10th, or having a fixed rate of $1400 for the day, and then the day could last anywhere from 10 hrs. to 12 hrs., so the hourly rate changes???? It's almost like the dyno day would need to be over, before we could really figure out who owe's what.
I know some of you were interested in dyno'ing in Austin, but no one was making anything happen. EngineLogics is expensive, but they have a nice setup. Zeus, I can sympathize, I HATE Houston also, and I live there!

dubbleugly01, I say run with it... I'll go where I need to.
SlowCar, if dubbleugly01 doesn't mind taking over, I'd let him... I don't have the time to do it myself right now. Matter of fact, I need to close the laptop, and go finish the customer's car in my garage RIGHT now!

we're reserved for Jan. 19 & 20th at EL. I need to put up a $250 deposit to hold the dyno, which isn't a problem, so let's start getting this truly organized. Is anyone in direct contact with Jestr, or do we rely on him to read this thread? I can contact him, but if someone is already working those details, it would be better to keep it to a single person making the communications to avoid any confusion.
Thanks, dubbleugly01.
