He would have to have 2 days to do 16 cars guys.

Just an opinion but $175 bux per hour is a ridiculous amount of money for dyno time.

engine logic charges $1400(8am to 8pm), so that works out to be ~$117/hour.

I think its only fair for the owner of the car to pay for time when the car gets on the dyno to the time it gets off. My car will take a bit longer to tune as i'll be injecting water......

I did speak to Chris at EngineLogics today, January currently is wide open. The $1400 per day is really for a 10 hr day, but he's not going to kick us out at 10 hrs. and 1 minute. He is willing to let it go to a maximum of 12 hrs.

Another potential charge would be a helper to load/unload the cars and work the dyno. Per Chris, we'll (John/Jestr mainly) will have to show a "proficiency" to operate the dyno, including strapping down the cars, or we'll get stuck with a helper, but that's only $125 for the whole day.

So my thoughts on what to do from here.... talk to Jestr about a date in January, firm it up and start taking deposits ($100???) to reserve a slot on the dyno schedule. This would weed out the "maybe's" and we could get a final headcount. Since the date has been pushed back so far, there may be one or two on the list that won't be able to make it now. This is for the DYNO only! I'm assuming Jestr will want his full amount paid up front before he ever gets on the plane. And we keep the list to 10 people if we plan on doing in a single day??? (Need Jestr's input on that one).

Jestr, are you reading this?

You guys almost have enough here to justify two days huh? Just think, two days worth of evo owners surviving off of flamin' hot cheetos in the snack area... This could get ugly

With UTEC map selector, there are 0 - 9 selections on the switch. If you are on "0" you are running the stock ECU. This is how my STI is setup.

I would really like to know if Jetr can tune an STI with ECUTEK/UTEC combo. My professional tuner setup kind of sucks. Pretty bad gas mileage and my base ECUTEK flash makes almost as much power as my UTEC tune (21psi vs 29psi on a GT35R).

Let's start planning for Jan. 6 or Jan. 13, depending on Jestr's schedule.

Jan. 6 will interefere with the International Bowl and the GMAC Bowl, but does anyone have any interest in those two bowl games?????

I could do 2 days, that's not a problem. I've used a Dyno Dynamics before, so that's not a problem. IMO, it usually runs a lot smoother when there are extra hands that will help w/ the straps, and even operating the dyno.

As for the schedule, the weekend of January 20th is my next open weekend. I can do 2 days, but that will up the cost of dyno time if it's $1400 / 10hr. day. and 17 people. Would EL be willing to accomodate us on Fri.-Sat., or Sat.-Sun.?

Sounds like we should plan for the weekend of Jan. 20 at EL. EL won't run the dyno on Sunday. For anyone who hasn't been to EL, it's sorta in a neighborhood (with big lots), and to show respect for the neighbors they don't run the dyno on Sunday due to the noise. So if we do two days, it'll need to be a Friday/Saturday.

Yeah I was talking to them about their neighbors the last time there. Apparently the surrounding community has been very cool about the whole issue.
