Jestr tuning for Austin area

Get dyno tuned. If you have the Tactrix cable, then log the car on the road later... send him your logs. He can make any adjustments needed and you can flash the car yourself. However, I'd have to say that probably will not be necessary. I can't say how impressed I've been with my Jestr experience.
I wanted ot know one thing, back in subaru forums when tuners would fly in we would have to pay for their hotel/airfare accomodations, is that also the case if we were to have Jestr fly in or would he pay for his own? I didn't see any mentions of this with dynoflash and his fly ins so i wanted to see if it were the case for jestr also.
Tuners generally figure ALL of their costs into the price of the individual tunes. Hence the reason you will see a "minimum" number of people that must pre-pay in order for the tuner to show. No one will even book a fight without being paid first. That is also a reason we will never get Jestr here unless someone takes it upon themselves to be the "organizer" of the event. Usually that person will keep a list of those paid up for the tuner and the dyno facility. He will also "hound dog" those who have not paid up, and set deadlines for payment. People who do not pay up in time lose their time slot. Time slots are determined by when you signed up.

In my opinion, looking back at all the tuning sessions that have occured in our neck of the woods (Austin and San Antonio area), we seriously need to find a facility for us folks, here in the Central Texas area, that we can use on a consistent basis. I don't know about you, but I don't like driving close to 400 miles each time I need to get tuned. It gets old really fast and it's expensive too.
If we can establish a good relationship with Henderson Performance, it would be advantageous to us both now, and in the future. Hence, whenever we have tuning sessions, it would be just a matter of making a phone call and renting their dyno - and they are much closer to us than driving to Houston. I'm pretty sure most of us would need another tune down the road, as we continue to modify our modifications.
Secondly, I know Henderson is getting a Dyno Dynamics dyno because I spoke to the supplier who is selling them the dyno. I called Henderson and left them a message the other day, but I have not heard anything from them yet. However, I think it would be best if one of the gurus on here gives them a call. As you can tell from my posts, I'm still learning.
Sorry for the long post
, but it's just my .25cents.
Well, to tell the truth... I'm really not too keen on engine logics either (did I mention I don't like Houston
)... call it a "vibe". I'm sure they may be a great bunch of guys, but I was really turned off we they demanded the full $1400 in advance. Even though it was a crappy dyno facility, Alamo Autosports let everyone pay as they showed up without even being asked. Everyone just paid Vishnu in advance (guy had to book a fight and a place to sleep), and paid Alamo when they were up. Real easy guys to work with...
Even if we had to hold out a couple of months to wait for Henderson to get set up, I would MUCH rather deal with those guys as I know them to be good people from personal past experience.
The more I think about it, the more I prefer that idea.
Batmann!
Did the person you talked to confirm when Henderson would have the dyno?
I used to drive all the way to Dallas (FIS) for dyno days. So distance is not so much the issue, but knowing that you are dealing with the "right" people is.

Hey Josh,
Can you elaborate on the above statement? Corey always seemed to be a pretty upfront guy the couple of times I was out there...
Thought it would be pretty convenient to have an AWD dyno in the San Antonio area...
