Big Move
Hello to my fello mitsu owners,
I started this thread to try and get as much info on the south eastern parts of TX as possible. The reason is that i am possibly going to get stationed in Sabine pass, TX. I am very unfamiliar with that area, I spent most my years in NY. Even when I joined the Coast Guard almost 6 years ago, I been stationed mainly in the North East. So living and working down there is going to be a major diference.
I have been looking up different areas, and found out that Houston TX is about 90 miles away. I think thats where the nearest 1/4 mile track is. I know there are some nearby towns with some malls, and resturaunts. But I'm very limited in results for my search.
If any of u guys could post some info like hang out spots, race tracks, weather, and overall perception of the area, i would greatly appriciate it. If anybody has anything positive or negative, please post it so I can get a better veiw of what possibly lies ahead!

Yeah man thats right around my area! would be nice to get some more guys down here. Only 5 of us with evo's in this general area that live here. Ton's of domestics to play with though !
There is PLENTY of hang out spots and inspections not an issue if you know the right places to go. If you make the move let me or bmtevo8 know we hang out sometimes so we would be glad to show ya around.

^ thanks for the info. It looks like i'll be heading there the end of january. Can't wait! Once I'm there Ill pm so we can meet up and i cant get a better tour of the place! I look foward to heading out to houston also, it seems like they got a serious car scene out there! If anyone else has any other info please post!

ok it is official, got my orders! I will be reporting there on the 15th of feb. if any one has information on appartments to rent in the area, that would be great! I looked at a few web sites, but had no luck! Thanks and look foward to meeting some felow car heads out there!
