I'll be coming from Waco with a wrx if anyone wants to meet up and ride down together.

I only have one concern. I have heard from a few that this dyno is a type that doesn't slow down both sets of axles equally. I mean the front wheels slow down faster than the rear or vice versa messing up the differential. Can any of you guys elaborate on this?

Also.... i heard that dynojets only read hp and not torque. Is this true?

I was just there yesterday to do my exhaust installation and the "before & after" dyno.

Everything went fine w/out a hiccup. Dyno's brake was fine and I did not see any braking issue as both axle stop simultaneously.

Oh btw, I did get all the HP, Torq and A/F ratio numbers.

HP = (RPM * TQ)/5250 (or is it 5252?)

That's why HP and TQ curves always cross at 5250 RPM.

So if you know one, you know the other, assuming you know the RPM.

Hey if you are attending the Tuning Day call for directions to Turbochargers.com (713) 681-1111. The map on the website is not really clear enough.

Everyone post up results and mods.....

I had the 02 wrx with a pieced together VS2.

I had 295 on 93 octane and 307 on 104 octane. I was happy. My torque was like 294 but i'm not sure. I'll have to see my sheets.

First off... thanks to everyone that set this up and helped out. Big thanks to Shiv for coming to TX and doing some tuning for us. Its this simple, Shiv is the man when it comes to this stuff . Huge thanks to Bill for setting everything up, stand up guy for organizing that and working his butt off all day with the dyno, major props . Big thanks too to David who was helping everyone out with a little wrech turning to prepare for the dyno too. You saved my butt atleast 3 times during the day, awesome job you were doing with helping out . Thanks to turbocharges.com for letting us use the place too all day (and into the night too ). Everyone was really cool, and it made for a good time for all i think . Was really nice to meet a lot of differnt Evo owners and subaru owners and listen and learn about the cars.

I couldn't get over the gains that everyone's car was seeing as Shiv went to work on them. It was just crazy stuff. The stage 1 cars were all doing right around 300 whp on pump gas. Every car that got on the dyno seemed to pickup 25 to 45 whp just from Shiv fiddling with it with his magic earphones and laptop. Even after a rough start my totally stock car made 272 whp with only an Xede once Shiv worked his magic. The "test drives" Shiv did with everyone's cars were quite the near death experiance too, but a ton of fun... Shiv is just crazy behind the wheel .

My car is a totally different animal now... it pulls waaaay harder to redline. The evo is good.. but the evo with a stage sub zero is just evil. I can't imagine what everyone else's cars with other mods are like now.

Hope to attend one of these again in the future. Major fun!

Robert

Guys I'm still completely wiped out from tuning day yesterday but I wanted to let you all know whiterexman sent me the DynoJet data and if you PM your email address I will forward it along. You will need the DynoJet Runviewer app to view the dyno runs. The program is a little confusing at first but with a little coercion it will reveal its worth.

I can't tell you how impressed I was with Shiv. He was not feeling 100% from a cold and he sat in the dyno room from 10:00am Saturday morning to 12:30am Sunday morning. It was great to see him work and he was also very fun to hang out with. Turbochargers.com was great. David, Tommy and the rest of the staff took great care of us for both dyno runs and installs. They were accommodating of all our requests and let us stay late. The people who came were great and I really enjoyed meeting you all. I do have to give special props for aov for showing up just to help out. MP5 also really helped out. whiterexman donated his laptop so I could copy all the DynoJet data. Resonance's buddy (not going to use his name) was a big help giving me some much help running the dyno. Almost everyone helped pitch in with the strapping and un-strapping which was great! My back and arms are killing me today and I could not have made it without the help.

Speaking of strapping we strapped and un-strapped 12 cars 15 times on the dyno. 9 original customers and 3 pop'ins. Plus one guy had to go on 2x and one guy had to go on 3x. Considering the work that occurred it was a major testament to Shiv's commitment to his customers and all the help we received from everyone who came.

The best part for me was 308.99HP/275.31TRQ from my Stage 1. My Evo just does not feel like the same car. I hit the rev limiter for the first time today because the power is so smooth that I could not feel the torque drop off at 6400 like it was when stock. I will have to completely readjust my expectations of my Evo and that to me is about the best compliment I can give a tuner.

Hi guys,
I got back to CA earlier this morning and I'm exhausted Nonetheless, I think the tuning day was a success. Big thanks to Bill for organizing everything and being such a stud behind the dynojet computer and under the cars wit the straps It was a big pleasure meeting all of you and finally putting faces to names. Let me know if you guys have any post-tuning questions/problems/etc and we'll do what we can to get them resolved. Also, Bill, if you could email me (shiv@vishnutuning) the dynojet data, I'll get the results up on the website.
Thanks again to all to came, watched, helped, cheered, etc,. I hope to come down there again sometime. But hopefully with a bit more ventilation in the dyno room

Best Regards,
Shiv

I hope this help you gain some respect in the EVO world. This proves that your stuff gets TOP HP and is the best parts you can get. Also Stage 2 and 3 will rock. Get stage 2 done so I can see how it turns out. :-)
