Powdercoating/painting wheels

I've rattle canned some wheels before, but now that I'm a man of more than minimum wage means, I thought I'd check to see if anyone here does or has the hookup on powdercoating or painting wheels?

heres the thread they do ALL WORK for alamo in arlington, bdjs racing, mvp performance ( dont quote me since they moved locations now), dynosaur , red line, and pretty much any shop in the metro plex. I found this out when i drops parts off at various shops to be coated and found them lying on the ground when i found out where the shop was located.

the phone number should be somewhere in the thread.

Until you hit a curb, or bump apron when tracking the car. Ill go dig up pics..... Look at any performance car , none of them have powder coated wheels. Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini, all painted or polished wheels. Anyways, the fast people that race for living advise against powder coating. Hope it helps.

You can use a low heat powder coat and it shouldn't impact the strength of the wheels.

Seguin Texas? Dude, that's 5 hours away from me and shipping my wheels would offset any cost savings!

I kinda like painting wheels too because when I scuff or scrape a wheel, I just respray it

Then again, the OP probably doesn't own a Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini, or race for a living. If you hit a curb or apron, you're wheels will most likely take identical damage compared to powder coated wheels.

I've rattle canned a set of wheels in the past using professional grade enamel paint. Came out great and all 4 wheels only cost about $10 in total for materials.

This is what I had before the Evo. RX8 -- Fun car.

Or to save you time, I might help you out for a little bit of your "more than minimum wage means"

I know you know it's not hard to do.. just takes time and patience.
