even tho if we had a evo only club, people who own evo's who arent a member still say they are with ntec, and about discounts, shouldnt discounts (xx% off at don herring) and stuff like that be exclusive for "ntec" members only?

 

I would say that would be up to the vendors who actually gets the discount.

I refuse to be a member of any club that would accept me


two advantages of the largest NTEC membership-
1- the larger the membership roll, the more clout we have for sponsors and discounts
2- hmm, did i say two??? fill in the blank__________


how about a meeting in DonHerring's conference room on Saturday....we could ALL get together and be heard???

 

Those advantages are good. I really just want only the close knit group of people out there knowing about my car and what I have done to it where I live Etc. If we must have a large group let's get with the other Mitsubishi owners and invite them we can make a group called Mitsubishi owners club or something like that. We should also get with Subies and see how they feel about getting an AWD club going.


That way when we present ourselves to a potential sponsor they will see that we are affiliated and on joint clubs with other groups. As far as Evo discounts we already get some pretty good ones as it is through our sponsors. Don't we?

 

Agreed. By having a roster of card-carrying Evo owners, we represent a nice bit of captive audience for a sponsor. Once we figure this all out, we'll be going back to all of the old sponsors to confirm the offerings, but in addition to that, I'm working on things such as:

Detailing at your location
Mobile wheel repair (!)
AWD dyno, anyone?
What more do we want? are there other vendors out there we want to target?


Also... NTEC site updated, and everyone who submitted an application before 5:30 has a response waiting for them.

 

ok im confused. My "evo" came brand new with no wing, what would tyhat be classified as? clarification is good so i can adjust my "drives" description by my avatar

 

well it also says "Lancer Evolution" on the back of our cars...so i guess were all out....
