well considering that our monthly meet is at the RKC meet, i dont think we have much say in who shows up. i think we should welcome all people as GUEST. but during photoshoots id like to have all evos because it throws off the vibe.

other cars should be welcomed in pictures, but not in the center, and can be asked to leave the picture..

I think it should be just Evo's however I would like to see more of a DSM crowd than I've seen show up as they're the cousins of the Evo.

With Shimanchu's comment about it being an honer to own one and whatnot, I feel the same and have wanted one for over a decade. Now that I have one I take very much pride in owning one and would like to see the NTEC community be only for Evos.

A base line lancer is in noway close to an Evo and should not be considered one. Different suspension geometry, all different panels, different engine, etc. The only thing that's the same is the roof on non MR's and the dash.

u forgot about the front doors and the trunk on the 02-03 Lancers.

 

At one time NTEC allowed turbocharged Lancers/Mirages and had a couple of really good members who didn't have Evos but at least had turbocharged cousins

I would allow Galant VR-4s, Mirage to Evo conversions and 09 Lancer Ralliarts (evo IX awd, 4b11, close enough!).

^ That should be pretty easy to comprehend.

The Ralliart is closer to the Lancer than the Evo X.

Besides that, the majority has spoken. From here on out, NTEC memberships are for Evo owners only.

We don't have a closeness to any other cars like the 3000GT/Stealth or Eclipse/Talon people. Go to a 3si or DSM meet, and it's acceptable to own either a 3000GT or Stealth, and Eclipse or Talon. They basically have the same cars.

 

evos only helps, i think alot of the dsm crowd have a evo-jealousy-complex going on if you ever check out dallas imports. they have the idea that we all have this big attitude and talk **** to them, yet we dont....in fact, in the past we have invited them to events often and they still posted bad comments about us on DI.
