dude the way you post on DI makes them think that us evo guys are dicks

I have seen some threads on there and other places where the DSM people talk bad about us. I honestly don't have any problems with it. It's only "talk" so who cares. As far as Chad goes...... Well he is the only "real" dick in the group anyway. Every group has one. DI has a large group of them.

 

yeah i was on DI for about a day and got flamed for defending myself because the DSM guys were calling me a ***** and saying that evo guys are stupid because we bought an eclipse GSX for 30 grand etc... i dont really care what they think.. i just quit looking at the site.

 

Best thing you can do. I also have tried to browse thru the DI forum, its not for me. I'm sure it is perfect for some people, but not for me for sure.

 

lol danny, thats called a joke. i use them alot. it wasnt trash talking anybody. it was making fun of the fact i have no wing and everybody calls my freakin car a "lancer"

 

I own both a 1g and an evo...... I wouldn't join an evo club with the talon, and I wouldn't joint a DSM club with the evo...... I would join a 4G63 club with both! I for sure have a soft spot for my talon, but in all honesty, the evo from the factory is everything I wanted my talon to be..... they are for sure different cars!

As for the DI guys.... I dont know how I feel about those guys either...... at the DI msr event.... I heared a lot of "stupid evos.... nothing of an overpriced dsm... good luck getting it to run..... gotta love DSMs......" Which I don’t appreciate hearing, however I think we owe it to ourselves to be above that as a club.

My .02 cents...

I am not a EVO owner. I am a Lancer owner. One day I will own an EVO, that is set in stone. Would I ever put a NTEC sticker on my car Lancer, NO. The Lancer is not an EVO, will never be an EVO. Why? The chassis are not the same. The engines are not the same. The drivetrains are not the same. Members should own an EVO. In special cases should some members be inducted into the club as I was. For the record, my car does not have a turbo. Just one really loud Blitz Nur Spec cat-back. I feel it would be best to keep it Lancer Evolution exclusive, but special members for special circumstances. Its one thing when you have a club meet directed towards one car and the showing of cars is everything but that car. This has never happen at an NTEC meet, so I wouldn't worry about that.

Should Ralliarts be let into the club. The answer is, NO. The Lancer Ralliart is a trim of the Lancer. The Ralliart is the same as a Lancer GSR from back in the day. If you don't know what a Lancer GSR is, Google it. The Lancer GSR is still a Lancer, thus, a Lancer Ralliart is a Lancer, not a Lancer EVO. Current Lancer range is as follows:

(Base Lancer) Lancer DE
(Base Lancer) Lancer ES
(Base Lancer) Lancer GTS
(Bridge Between Lancer & Lancer Evolution) Lancer Ralliart
(Lancer Evolution) Lancer Evolution X GSR
(Lancer Evolution) Lancer Evolution X MR

Also to justify what I just stated above, the Lancer and Lancer Ralliart carry the same chassis code, CY4A. The Lancer Evolution carries a different chassis code from the Lancer and Lancer Ralliart, CZ4A.


I really hate to say it, but i truly feel the club needs a leader / president. As of right now, this is the equivalent of Congress trying to solve foreign affairs / policy. It will take to long and you will not be able to decide anything. Which is why in most cases the president has more control over foreign affairs. One man to speak for the group. I am not saying the rest of the club cannot have a voice in the development of the club. There needs to be a leader to lead a group. Like I have said many of times...

You can not have an organization without organization....

I really do believe you should use Ethan's formula, plug in a few different numbers, delegate some powers, and be done with it.
