Ft Hood Evo Check-in

quote : Soceur77 you chose wisely for your tune!
Yea bro I was set on a dyno flash until I heard and read about Kevin D, got to give Levar the credit for putting me on and introducing me.
Quote: So it all worked out finally, and nothing broke well that's good to hear. Sounded like it was some adventure. Wish I could of came over but I was stuck without a ride
Now all you have to do is get your car lowered and take off that wing and you should be good
There's just one thing, last time I went in for some work at the Doper than dope shop there wasn't any Bob Marley playing in the background, lol. The shop does do same great work though, once I was done I felt like the Dark Knight driving around in the F117Bob marley is only for times of fustration...lol yea DD has your car looking the bomb! Im actually giving him the keys to my car when I deploy so i can get some brake treament done as he wont be here when I get back
Quote: You see everything works out at the end
Yea man Im happy as hell right about now, I just have to get a minor fix done to my TBE as it isnt fitting 100% done at minke today and ill totally be in love with the car again...minus the horrid wing I have. Going to see if I can get it covered under warranty today...its a long shot but
can only say yes or no.

exhaust fixed by bills muffler shop on memorial. Great work and customer service and a very fair price. Was in and out in 30 mins. Meineke on the other hand by Krystals said it would take them 2 hours to fix, and the meinke close to ft hood said he couldnt get a evo on the lift,...I was like wtf! are u serious. I told them they had my celica on the lift 2 weeks ago and its way lower then my current stock height on the evo. I told him the other meineke had it on their lift and that ****er told me well take it back to them. I told him he was very unprofessional and that I would be calling the store manager later today. So for all ur muffler nneds go see bill on memorial right next to the black angus food place (down by the ft hood st side)

Damn dude, I never thought I'd here the day you talk crap about AMS. You're a bigger fan than I am, you even got their clothing line up. But I don't think of it as getting ripped off, yeah it's expensive but you're paying for the quality and the name. I've gone to other places and seen other shops and I prefer their work. Not everything can be done at the Doper than Dope shop

LOL why oh why did you say that....Prepare for world war 5 when he reads this...he was just ranting about AMS 1am this morning...lol He do be rocking the AMS hat though

It's hard to blame the builder. Unless it's somethingobvious. I've seen so many pol botching about there motorblowing but in reality it's just the driver or even the tuner. There's one thread where they were blaming the shop because his motor spun a bearing. What actually happened was that he was suppose to break it in but he went to get a race gas tune and took it to the track that night.sigh...
Best Evo story i've heard was a guy was building his block. He had very high milage and they wanted to replace his timing belt and other things because his tensioners were sweating... Well he skipped out on preventive maintence. Month later went to a diff shop for a tune. Bent an *** load of valves on a dump pull... I wonder why

Lausan 'ole chum. I'm very glad that you finally got your car up and running and fighting through all of the frustrations that you experienced. I have to admit that you are a much better person that I'll ever be as it relates to this because I would have got crunk on Day Two once the crap hit the fan. It's awesome to see what patience can do for you and just in time to put the 'ole girl up for a nice year-long nap. I can't wait to break break with you once you arrive. Take care of yourself and I'll see you then. I still have those plans we spoke of but it will not (I repeat) will not take the "buy another engine route". I might get some drop-in pistons and rods to compliment the dual springs/retainers but that's it. More to follow in the days ahead...

Yea opefully we move out on the current target plan and ill see ya soon. Just glad i dont have to do the kuwait thing
Yea man the wonders of a corona some bob marley music and some car enthusiast putting there heads together to solve a problem...lol oh yea the internet didnt hurt as well..lol But believe me there was some crunkness going on, almost some funiture moving action going....even if it was only a folding chair. Couple of tools almost got chunked into someone elses yard as well. I will say the nex door neighboor came out to do some slip and slide with her kids...that made things better as well
