Ft Hood Evo Check-in

Well its 5 am and i just got home, Monkey and I were easily installing my cams when for some reason the slack on the timing belt went tight and we cant get it back on....we spent hours litterly trying to get it on with no luck. Hopefully we figure we have to remove a motor mount to get some slack back, guess we will see.
Levar glad everything is going good. DIdnt understand about the date thing however?

speaking of motor mounts... the one by the battery is a pain in the *** to get into place. i just did mine not too long ago and the front and right side went in easily except the left one was a *****...

Well guys soceur77 and I have finished putting his cams in, we had some problems but we got them in. First start up wasnt a good one but after we (I did most of the work
) figured out the problem and retimed it, the car was running and sound good. Now all he needs is a good tune and his car will be even better. I never knew how easy it was to install them, I will never pay to have cams installed ever again. I could of saved so much money!

I made a mistake of being really greedy, and not building the bottom end with the sti , never again will I do that, tiny sticker meaning cosworth 2.2 rotating assembly is ordered. I haven't ordered anything as far as valve train, I'm just slowly piecing everything together, should have a full long block put together by July. I know the they are still pushing the limits of the factory 4b11 and getting great results, I guess I'm starting backwards, with the engine instead of bolt ons, yeah I'm losing out on some fun now, but I think end the end, the gross display of horsepower will be well worth it, I'm still doing research on fuel systems, headwork, and engine management, and turbo setup.

thats pretty safe to say pistons and rods and all the bearings for a building the bottom end aka Short block.
To be honest though why don't you just save up a lil more and do it right!(i'm just ranting)
People don't think but the crank I'd say is the most important thing to mod!
Micropolish
KnifeEdge
Crossdrilled
Cryo treat it
Chemical treat it
by a new billet one!
ANyways just think what it'll be like to rev to 10,000 RPMS!
Then build from there!
Remember to also hone your block and get it balanced and blueprinted!
