Thanks. I dont know what Im goin to do. I really dont like the plate on the front of the car but I also do not enjoy being late to work because bs traffic stops. I guess if im goin to do it the factory mount looks the best. BTW veilside, your car looks sick. I want to get a 9 front bumber for my car bad. Props

The Texas front plate law is vague. Some areas would pull you over and cite you for a frame around your plate or for any part of the wording that was blocked. The most recent revision to the law states that at least 50% of the word Texas has to be visible. They still do NOT require it on the front bumper. It only has to be readable from the front of the vehicle. This does not preclude a municipality from making their own law.

take a picture of it zip tied to the front grill and show it to the judge and it'll be dismissed, trust me ( pre law major), as far as the factual law i read in the big book of law it says " visible front license plate". So technically if the cops thinks it is not readily visible then it's not legal even though technically it is.... hoorah government..

I'm almost positive Texas has a front plate law, the kicker is the only places that really care are small towns. I've never been stopped in DFW/Austin/San Antonio for it but have been stopped in little towns on the way to those cities several times but just issued warnings everytime.

get a plate that says something like NO PIGS or PIG COP or FTHE50. That should teach them a lesson.

Not sure about the laws in your state, but if you check vehicle codes for state of TX you can find the answer. Good luck with research. In CA you gotta have 'em...

If I were to buy a front bracket to mount the license plate, I would probably get the Beatrush one. I don't like the stocker cause there's a huge hunk of plastic showing. I don't have a front plate, I would avoid having one at all costs although I might get a bracket and keep it in the glovebox and argue that the bracket is broken/I haven't mounted it yet, it might help you stay away from getting a ticket. 3M adhesive might work, although I'm a little skeptical about how it would hold under high speeds.
