Just got pulled over TX
Thanks. I dont know what Im goin to do. I really dont like the plate on the front of the car but I also do not enjoy being late to work because bs traffic stops. I guess if im goin to do it the factory mount looks the best. BTW veilside, your car looks sick. I want to get a 9 front bumber for my car bad. Props

The Texas front plate law is vague. Some areas would pull you over and cite you for a frame around your plate or for any part of the wording that was blocked. The most recent revision to the law states that at least 50% of the word Texas has to be visible. They still do NOT require it on the front bumper. It only has to be readable from the front of the vehicle. This does not preclude a municipality from making their own law.
take a picture of it zip tied to the front grill and show it to the judge and it'll be dismissed, trust me ( pre law major), as far as the factual law i read in the big book of law it says " visible front license plate". So technically if the cops thinks it is not readily visible then it's not legal even though technically it is.... hoorah government..
I got pull over couple months ago for my plates being on the windshield . I thought for speeding i can't afford a ticket . My driving record is really bad . I say I do it on the way back to Killeen, tx but a hate to drill screwes on my bumper . Just didn't look right to me
I'm almost positive Texas has a front plate law, the kicker is the only places that really care are small towns. I've never been stopped in DFW/Austin/San Antonio for it but have been stopped in little towns on the way to those cities several times but just issued warnings everytime.
ive been pulled over 3 times for speeding by Texas Highway Patrol 73 in a 70, 72 in a 70 and then 73 in a 70 again all were warnings but come on they must be bored or something.
If I were to buy a front bracket to mount the license plate, I would probably get the Beatrush one. I don't like the stocker cause there's a huge hunk of plastic showing. I don't have a front plate, I would avoid having one at all costs although I might get a bracket and keep it in the glovebox and argue that the bracket is broken/I haven't mounted it yet, it might help you stay away from getting a ticket. 3M adhesive might work, although I'm a little skeptical about how it would hold under high speeds.

or just take 30 minutes out of your day, i've done this 4-5 times .. twice with the same judge!
