need help...

well i bought my evo x about 8 months ago. after 5 months of it being stock i decided it was time to mod it. so i asked my friend at work who is really into cars if the new of any shops where i could order and get the parts installed. after a week of researching what i wanted i decided to go to his shop. the first two mods were installed quick and with quality. they were installed in the time he had told me they would be intalled in. after a month of those two mods i wanted more power. i decided to go back to his shop for my other mods. long story short i dropped it off about six weeks ago for some mods and till this day i have nothing WTF!!! he had told me that it would take no longer than three week. I have been to his shop and called his shop and he tells me that his is still waiting on parts. really?!? are there that many people moding their cars that parts are out of stock? now i need some help finding a shop around san antonio where i can get work done on my car. i wouldnt mind driving to a shop in another city if the work would be done fast and with quality. or am i asking to much from this guys?

Evo X + boost controller = waste of money.

The stock ECU is a much better boost controller than anything you can put on there.

You need to find a new shop that doesn't suck.

well its not that the shop sucks but more why it taking them so long? he has good rep and even had some articles published about his car(s). and as to the boost controller i wont be managing it through a laptop since i don't have one atm that is why the boost controller. should a laptop be on my list of things to get? on a scale from 1-10(one being newbie work and 10 being a pro)how hard is it to adjust all your setting on the ECU? or should i stay away from the ECU until i have informed myself with all the knowledge there is to be had from this site?
