Driveway Austin track

I just noticed this place on google maps and checked out the website. Not much in the way of elevation changes, but looks fun.

Has anyone been out or have any info? Track day maybe?

Wow. Yea I've been here for 10 years, I've never heard of this place. Makes me want to take my evo and bike out there.

Dude I am in. Let's set up a track day.

Im gonna call this week and get some more info. Would probly need someone else to organize this if it happens. Im closing on a new house this month and took on double duty at work so I dont think Ill have the time or cash to throw down for deposit etc.

Curious to see what their policies are on track rental and instructors.

Talked to Ken, Dir of nasa's Texas TT, they're having their annual director meeting there and they're just walking the track to make the introductions and mayhaps get it on the sched sometime soon. From what he's saying it's deff a club track, so you would need some $$ and some kind of proof of skill (eg Lic). Or you can do the "school" day in their miata's....which could also be fun. It doesn't sound like an "arrive and drive" track Buuut that can all change.

I have been going all summer. It is a fun track and good place to learn how to drive. It is a driving academy and not a regular track. The pricing is pretty good for what you get. It is a lot of fun in my opinion. The L2 is the fun track. If you have track experience the L1 may be boring. Have fun!

I think this driving academy forces you to go by steps and levels? Once you complete 1 level you go to another one, right?

That sucks... I wish you could just do some practice runs with a professional trainer and then let it loose on the course.
