My evo from chump to champ by MDR Performance

I just got back from having my car at MDR performance for 2 days getting my stock evo 8 turbo taken out for a precision 6262 kit and supporting mods. The guys at MDR really know there **** when it comes to building, fabricating and tuning on evos. We got everything swapped out and installed and tuned in two days. That to me is awesome.Right now the following mods are...

Stock 2.0 with ARP rod bolts
Stock head with manely S&R's
Stock uicp
ETS intake with stock MAF
Forge BPV
HKS 280 cams
EGR and Evap delete
FIC bluemax 1250cc injectors
AEM Meth injection
ARP Headstuds
Precision 6262 journal bearing
3.5" intercooler
2.5" licp

Pictures...

Stock evo 8 turbo vs Precision 6262

Stock rods bolts vs ARP ones

Stock valve springs VS Manely ones

Prepping the new springs and retainers

Installing the springs and retainers

Installing the rod bolts

The turbo had a 4 bolt hot side but i decided i wanted a vband so David welded one on there,he did a very nice job.

Almost put back together

Right now its tuned at 27psi and a very conservative tune,i plan to go back up there soon to get a new uicp and 4in intake and switch to speed density.VDR said about 470hp which is a hell of alot better than the 290 the stock turbo was putting down. When i got back up there im gonna bump it to 30psi and make over 500.

Again id like to thank the guys at MDR for all their hard work they put into this car and for getting everything done in two days and for staying up way late to get my car done in time,i know they took their time and made sure everything was done right because i was there the whole time.If you have anything you need done to your evo id highly recommend MDR Performance in Kemah Tx

how are there rates? can you please pm me how much you paid for the spring installation? interested in switching my cams and upgrading springs and retainers. They are the closest evo shop to me that's why I'm interested.

check with the shop about re-torquing the head,
i developed a blown head gasket after my cam and ARP head studs were installed
i know they are designed to stretch when properly torqued, but isn't that after they have their initial re-torquing??
I've had different answers.

you torque them 3 times and the 3rd time is the final torque.
