Sorry bout AK, but all the AK folks I know are out enjoying their cars. On great guy and his wife are out running open road races. So the AK folks I know are out playing, but I am sure there might be some AK folks who like to sit inside and whine and come up with excuses..

So is that a good thing or not that the AK folks were left out :sigh: heh.

Are you interested in comign down for some fun and skill learning?

I only listed 3 of the states around AK, I left out the other 3.

I don't street race. The car is in the shop too much for me to even make it to a road circuit.

Ouch.. In the shop?? How'd that happen. Do you launch it? We have a good number of Evos running around MSR, Unfortunately they all can't seem to get out to the track at the same time. :sigh: and none have had any drivetrain problems from the road circuit. One lost a xfer caae, but it became a front wheel drive Evo for a different reason.

Wher'd you email me at? I'm at work, so non priority personal emails get filtered out, unless it was filtered out as spam.. It detects spam from panzies, so I'd guess it's there..

I saw in the other thread things are coming apart. That sucks. You can ensure a date July 10-11. But for tomorrow, I don't have a good line on anything.

I also shot you an IM here on this board. I e-mailed you at 'mister2zx3@yahoo.com'

What is going on during July 10-11? I had already taken the day off tomorrow. I'm pretty bummed out.

That sucks you don't have a good line on anything. I was really wanting to get out there tomorrow.

What I dont get is why anyone would even buy an EVO if they didnt have some intrest in taking it to the track. Come on people this is what the car was built for. Its gonna break and eat up tires anyway, you might as well have some fun with it.

So how much are classes out at MSR? Any chance of us getting a special rate if we get a bunch of EVO drivers together?

*de-lurk*

I definitely want to take a road-racing class. My preference is to do it at Texas World Speedway, since it's just a leisurely 95 mile drive up Highway 6 for me (as opposed to 283 miles to MSR). It turns out I just missed a great opportunity with The Driver's Edge a couple of weeks ago.

Does anyone have any info/opinions on the organizations that do TWS-based classes? So far I know of three: The Driver's Edge, EDP Racing, and TWS' own Motorsports Club. One person recommended The Driver's Edge over EDP Racing, saying that EDP was for more experienced drivers. I've heard nothing about the TWS Motorsports Club.

Or is there a compelling reason to try MSR over TWS? Like, maybe, I'd be less likely to turn my Evo into a ball of scrap metal? Something like that?

Any info would be greatly appreciated!

well i just asked my cardiologist, electrophysiologist and internist if i could race or even track my car. and i got a big no...i was on a hearttransplant list for around 1 year. so you can call this an excuse if you want but they all say no. i was very upset for about 3 days about not being able to have fun with my evo. but i'm over it now.

vincent

edit...this was not for pity...if you are going to pity me don't do it for my health but my for my unfilled desire to drive my car.
